Yk, one thing that scares me is the internets actions towards those who are very mentally ill. Yes I’m talking about lolcows.
If you don’t know what a lolcow is, the urban dictionary definition is: “A person or group of people laughed at for actions that they take, despite not trying to be funny. They may try to take themselves seriously, but are often “milked” for laughs with or without their knowledge” a VERY infamous person who falls under this category is Chris chan (idk her transitioned name sorry). Everyone know who they are and the things they’ve done and I would like to state this before going on with this post:
I DO NOT SUPPORT THE CRIMES THAT LOLCOWS/HORRORCOWS HAVE COMMITED!
While I do not support what some Lolcows have done (these are more horror cows but I’ll get into that later) I also think that a lot of lol/horror cows are egged on by the internet. The internet takes MASSIVE advantage of those who are mentally ill and we’ve seen it happened time and time again. They do this because they know that they are reactive. While a lot of us will just shrug our shoulders and block them, Lolcows don’t seem to. They react and a lot of them (like Chris chan and Daniel Larson) will do what the troll are telling them to do because trolls will frame themselves as a support system (like in the case of Daniel Larson) or they will get blackmail of the lolcow to do something in order for something not to get leaked (like Chris chan). However they often leak the blackmail and the clip that has been sent to prevent the leak, in turn making other trolls will see this and will encourage these things to happen.
I think it’s REALLY fucked up that trolls do this. Now I understand making a call out post if they have done something illegal. However to egg them on to keep doing illegal things is very dangerous.
It’s best if we just ignore them. Let them do whatever (aslong as it’s not illegal). If you react, they’ll react and it never ends well.
So what is a horror cow? A horror cow is (by the urban dictionary definition) is: “A lolcow that is primarily known for their disgusting and/or creepy behavior. Horrorcows may typically be known for one or multiple of the following: pedophilia, zoophilia, necrophilia, coprophilia, exceptionally violent behavior, excessive attention-seeking displays and/or other disgusting, creepy and/or horrifying behaviors.”
Now. Horrorcows aren’t something I agree with. At all. Paraphiles are not horrorcows and I want that to be known. Paraphillic attraction is thoughts and fantasies. Horror cows are often abusers. They act on their thoughts and fantasies and don’t seek out help. That is not paraphillia. This is abuse.
Now Daniel Larson is also deemed a horrorcow because of his Pinterest leak and his weird stalker like obsession with Grace Vanderwaal. He would constantly message her odd things and in regards to his Pinterest, it was a lot of underage celebrities. So he has the label of predatory behaviour towards young girls. (I’m not sure if he’s actually had contact with young girls so I’m not entirely sure if he’s an actual groomer)
But the fact that these lolcows/Horrorcows are encouraged to do these things via trolls on the internet is insane and disgusting. Please just leave these people alone. We’ve seen what happens (Chris chan) when you keep feeding and trolling these people. It never ends well.
Instead try to encourage them to get help, seek actual friends and get out into the world. Please stop engaging with lolcows. Let them get the help they need instead of encouraging them to get worse.
