A little bit on the history of studying body language now!

Typical signs that someone wants to end a conversation are:

-Not asking questions back to you when speaking

-Looking around the room when you're speaking

-Yawning repeatedly

-Saying they have something else to do e.g making lunch or visiting a relative.

Showing you things may be a sign that they are particularly fond of a particular item, and like to show it off. It could hold a special meaning to it, or they could think that you are interested in that sort of thing. 

Asking your opinion could be a sign that they look up to you, and genuinely value your opinion. They most likely love looking their best, and would like to know what other people think of their image.
