Again, lots of lore to them, but in short of who Calla is, she’s a witch who fought alongside him back in the 40s during world war 2 and, despite the words of his comrades and Ernie, the man fell madly in love with her against all odds. She was not just a fighter but an activist for the rights of her own kind and humanity equally, eventually joined my Joseph in this quest!!

I'm not sure if I should be angry because I just remembered the existence of Queen Bee (me when I'm in a racist, sexist caricature competition and the Queen Bee walks in) or happy because at least Bialya isn't being treated like the root of all evil.

I do love how the conflict was resolved. (It's how most if not all international conflicts should be resolved. Just as nonsensical, but with a far lesser loss of life.)
