That probably wasn’t good. He wasn’t the bug expert here, but that kind of mixed report from your scouts usually meant the enemy was on to you and your approach. Bucky leaned over and gave Tony the requested kiss. Was he going to relent? No. Neither of them ever did. That was part of their charm. They bickered but never over anything too serious. And really, even the bickering was mostly just a more advanced form of complaining.

“Such inspiring words from the great Hero of Ferelden!” He got to his feet, giving an exaggerated groan. Truth be told, he was ready to keep going. There was just the tiniest sliver of hope that if they waited a smidgeon longer, the rain would stop. Granted, hoping that rain would stop in Ferelden was like wishing a qunari would be shorter. Possible, but Maker, at what cost?

“It’s like a mage’s spell--lands right where you least want it.” At this point, the only reason he knew he wasn’t walking directly on the sand was because his feet weren’t getting burnt. As it was, his boots were filled with enough of the stuff as to feel heavy and clumsy. But taking a break to empty them would be pointless--they’d only fill up again and they’d have wasted time in stopping.
