A sharp whistle pierced through the air, echoing across Teikoku Gakuen’s stadium. The players, drenched in sweat and relieved, paused their intense drills. With a collective sigh, they flopped onto the bench. Laughter and animated chatter replaced the sounds of exertion as some chugged down their water bottles while the others eagerly discussed the latest video game is released last Sunday. The stadium, earlier having a frazzled energy is now buzzed with the livelychattering of the teenagers. Everything is normal except for one thing. Or should we say, someone...

" Miyabino, we're going to the mall. You wanna come?" Ryuzaki asks. The goalie shakes his head.

" Maybe, next time! I'll train more I want to try a new hissatsu." The goalie happily responded and wave to his teammates saying their good-byes

Miyabino Reiichi, an excellent goal keeper with a great agility, strength and amazing techniques. He often stay late after practice to train a little bit more even though their practice is one of a hell to say. Everything may seems normal but it is really not

Or, Sakuma says

Every movement of the boy is reflected to the cyan haired visible emerald eye. Sakuma's gaze remained fixed on Miyabino, every shift and adjustment in the goalie’s posture is meticulously noted.

" Is something's wrong?"

The chestnut beside him asks looking for an answer but he received nothing more than a hum. He looked at what his Assistant Coach is looking at.

'Miyabino Reiichi?'

Miyabino, absorbed in his own world of practice, not noticing how his two coaches are looking at him worriedly. He practiced his new hissatsu techniques, pushing his limits even further which worries the two elder.

" Miyabino" Kidou called the boy. The violet hair did not hear him at first but he soon realize that his coach were calling him at the third time. " It's late you should go home. Don't exhaust yourself too much." The boy nodded

" Rest well" The boy shifted his gaze to his other coach then bow at him too.

It's 2 in the morning

Sakuma is running around the corners because apparently insomnia is just so 'great'. He stop at a bench and drunk his water. As he was about to leave, a familiar flash of violet hair caught his eye.

He slowly walk towards the familiar figure

" Miyabino?"

A head turn around as he heard someone called his name

" S-sakuma-sensei." The boy pupils enlarge, shock after realizing who is just in front of him. He does not expect to see their assistant coach here especially not in this kind of situation.

" What are you doing here?" His coach asks. He look at the older man's only visible eyes and he knows that he cannot lie.

"M-My... My mother kicked me out." The boy uttered almost a whisper. The cyan hair eyes widened he is completely surprised by what his player just told him. Just what kind of mother kick their cute little 14 year old son alone in the middle of a school night. How irresponsible. What does his father even do? Why does he not stop his mother? Sakuma continuously curses his student irresponsible and horrible parents but his mind comes back to reality when he notice that the boy is uttering something. " S-since my step father doesn't like me." That's when Sakuma reached his limit. He reached out his hand, helping the younger male to stand up. He put his hand to the boy's shoulder then smiled which shocked the other as he never saw his coach smiles.

" We both have horrible mother, huh?" Sakuma said reminiscing how his mother threw him away after they won the FFI because according to her playing soccer is a disgrace as it is not elegant. That time he does not wish either for his father to show up as he knows that his father won't take his side either nor he would help him to not get disowned. He would just make the matter worst.

The student-coach car journey is silent but not awkward to be blunt Miyabino somehow felt a relief being beside his stern coach.

" This is my house."

Sakuma's home is not big but not small either. It somehow fascinated the kid how his coach house is so different from his personality . Sakuma's house is colorful you can see it on the murals on the wall and the orange brick like design of the house so ironic in his coach cold and stern personality. Or maybe his just like that because he is their trainer? Miyabino's eyes continue to wonder when suddenly something caught his eyes.

Kou | Jirou Residence

" Kou?"

" It's the name of my husband" Sakuma said nonchalantly while hinding the car keys to his pocket.

" H- husband!?" The boy suddenly blurted out. Too loud for someone who is just so close to him. He covered his mouth and quickly apologized. Sakuma just laugh and pat his head leaving him static.

" I'm home!"

From the kitchen came a frightening figure that is slowly approaching them with each measured step, its dark silhouette stretching across the floor. Making Miyabino feel a shriver across his body. Then, the light flash through the man's form

" G-Genda-san!?" The Teikoku goalie exclaimed in confusion, shock and excitement seeing the player he aspired to be in front of him. Face to face! Sakuma chuckled seeing his player reaction. Just how cute they are in Genda's eyes. They look like mother and son. His eyes sparkle, Oh, just how much he wants to adopt Miyabino already.

The blorbos ever!!!! I'm gonna be so normal about them.

7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

Okay, something that I haven't seen too much (which is a shame, because I'd love to see it more) is him being friends with the rest of Neo Japan!! Honestly, this is my Neo Japan bias bleeding in, but anyways! I think there's some fun dynamics there, and I love it when I stumble across a fic or other fanwork depicting it!

Also, another one since I couldn't pick just one (this is going to sound horrible, oh my god): I really like it when they give him capital I Issues. Like. I'm not saying he has one of the worst inferiority complexes in the series. But by god, that character arc went unresolved. Why are you on a team with Hitomiko as coach?? What happened off-screen???? I need answers!!!

14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.

I feel like he'd dress pretty minimalistic. No fancy patterns or bright colours, but definitely not monochromatic either. Something vaguely business casual. Oh and he for sure owns at least one turtleneck.

Ahhh nothing much more to say on his fashion other than thank god it isn't what it was in the og series. In the ten years between og and go he looked in a mirror. Good for him!
