an unexpected surprise; gemma and keelie
Keelie never thought that talking about cookies was going to lead to a conversation that involved a job offer, but she was ecstatic for the opportunity. It took her a little longer than she'd expected to actually make her way through the town, but once she spotted the library, she knew she was heading in the right direction. What Keelie hadn't expected was the sight of a magical sign outside the door of the bakery, and she looked at the hint for a moment before she chuckled to herself, realising that that must have been part of Gemma's secrets; that her baking was tied in with her witchcraft. She pushed the door to the bakery open, the smell of the delicious baked goods instantly hitting her nose and she let out a rather dreamy sigh before she glanced around the bakery for Gemma. "It smells delicious in here," she called out as she waited for the woman to appear.
Formal Fatigue | Gemma & -A
It was the night of the formal and -A had decided to give the Liars a bit of a break... well, if you can count being paranoid, emotionally unstable, and likely high on prescription meds an actual break. Each girl had their own trauma and their own messed up family and -A was pleasantly pleased with the way things were going. Her plan was working well and she'd decided that tonight would be an opportunity to make them sweat it out a bit. Make then wait on tenterhooks for her next move. She knew they hadn't been to the bus station locker yet but they would... she was just interested to see who Kelly would take with her... because she was certain Kelly would be going. She always did. Maybe she'd take nobody or all of them. Whatever, it wasn't important tonight. Right now, she had a new plan and a new focus, and the rest of her team could do whatever they wanted. Dig for dirt, play mind games, as if she even cared right now. So long as they didn't ruin the big plan then -A would be fine with them playing with her victims for a while.
-A was all dressed up like everybody else, sticking true to the theme, though nothing completely flashy because she didn't want to stand out too much. Not that she ever did. It was a wonder how someone could be so unnoticed that they could get away with all of the things she'd gotten away with. And Ruby thought she was invisible! She wandered around for a while, not caring about who won King and Queen at the end of the night or who was hooking up with who. It was boring to her. All the same pathetic stuff she'd seen day in, day out in this ridiculous town. No, right now, she was interested in Gemma Harris... where was she? -A knew she was coming to this thing, knew she would be here... so now it was just a matter of figuring out where she was, planning an escape route, and carrying out her plan. She hadn't been lying when she said Gemma was in danger... tonight she was going to show just how serious she was. -A wandered around a while, avoiding the clearly spiked punch, and weaving deftly through little groups of people until she finally spied the form of Wannabe Harris and smirked.
There's never time to save ll Aaron & Gemma
Aaron didn't know what possessed him to invite Gemma over to his flat. He wanted to hang out with her and get to know her better, but.. at his flat? He felt like an idiot after he thought about it because he'd never brought anyone there in the almost two years he'd rented it. The place wasn't a complete dump, he kept it up and was surprisingly tidy for a guy, but still. It wasn't exactly the nicest place and he barely had any furniture. Would she judge him? She'd seemed pretty nice and he liked talking to her but.. ugh. He kind of wanted to smack himself for inviting her there instead of to a restaurant or something. It was just easier to get to know someone when they could be alone. Without all the distractions he seemed to have the other times he'd hung out with people lately.
He wasn't sure when exactly she'd show up but he'd grabbed burgers from the place down the street and had gotten brownies. He wondered if she liked brownies but she'd said she liked chocolatey things, yeah? So he hoped that included them. He didn't even know why he was so nervous. Maybe he was thrown by the fact that she'd be coming to his flat. Or.. maybe there was something about her that put him on edge. Not in a bad way necessarily but.. Aaron didn't know. He didn't even want to begin trying to figure it out. It'd just wind up with him having a headache and he didn't want that. He was glad he didn't have to work at all this weekend. That'd probably just mean he'd spend his time laying around doing nothing. Maybe he'd workout like he had on his last day but just thinking it sounded like too much work. Sometimes, Aaron could be incredibly lazy.
It was one of his bigger flaws because he didn't get enough done but at least he wasn't lazy when he was paid to do things. That had to count for something.. right? He wasn't too worried about his appearance but still made a stop in front of the mirror to make sure he didn't look like a complete mess before he went and flopped down on the couch. At least he had one item of furniture now. There was a point when he didn't even have that and.. yeah. That would have been rather embarrassing if he'd slipped and invited someone over when they had to sit on the floor. He pushed those thoughts away and closed his eyes, figuring he could stay like that until Gemma showed.
