Sorry to be harping on this, but I’ve finished backing up gelina’s content to Mega! 😁 This is a continuation of my previous post, where I listed all of gelina’s content with her original links. Most of her links still work since the CC was uploaded to Mega or Mediafire, but some of the unreleased/unavailable content was uploaded to SFS, and considering the upcoming server move, we don’t want to risk losing anything.

Aurora Skies is my favorite Store world. It’s a charming world, but also quite bare, especially for someone who’s so used to playing custom worlds that use EPs extensively. The houses in AS (the affordable ones, anyway) are small and don’t have much room for expansion, so if I want my sims to get the “Clean Clothes” moodlet, I have to send them to a laundromat... which Aurora Skies doesn’t have. 

This was when I got the idea to make a Laundromat Cafe, like the ones they have in Oslo and Reykjavik. I haven’t actually been to one before, so when I investigated I was quite disappointed to find the laundry machines were relegated to this sad back room while the focus was on the “cafe” part. Why not make laundry an integral part of the experience? One could read to the soothing sound of the spin cycle, or be distracted from penning the next Great Scandinavian Novel by the mesmerizing spinning of the dryer drum. Well, that’s what sims is for, eh?

Still a few kinks to iron out, like how the bookcases I put around the counters block access to the bar itself (oops... a FTPT edit may be in order), and some ceiling tiles I forgot to replace. There’s also an upstairs area that’s currently bare: I’m thinking I’ll turn it into a small internet cafe with an actually accessible coffee bar.

2) Do you have any New Year’s Resolutions? ...To not suck, I guess. Same as every year.

3) Do you have any pets? What kind? Older sister: 1 cat. Younger sister: 1 hamster. Mom: 8+ (not sure how many because she keeps getting more of them) tortoises/turtles, 2 cats, 5+ koi fishes. Me: no nothings.

4) Favorite Sims 3 EP? Uni or Seasons. Probably Uni. Might in fact be Island Paradise but I have barely played it yet, even if I got it really long ago, ugh.

5) Favorite World? EA: Lucky Palms or Midnight Hollow (complete opposites, lol) or Roaring Heights would probably be my favorite IF I HAD IT Custom: St Claire is the only custom world I ever had, so...

6) What was the last thing you said out loud and to whom? "ZEN FIRE ZE MISSILES" to my little sister when she complained over one of her drawings.

7) Your most recently liked post? non-sims artsy stuff

8) The last place you went? ...uhm. The hospital. Or home after going to the hospital. Or if you mean abroad, then England!

9) Describe the last really good thing you’ve eaten. My noodles are always really good tyvm (Noodles with oriental seasoning, créme fraîche and japanese soy)

10) Who is your fictional soulmate (from a movie, show, book, game, etc.)? Maybe Susanna (Winona Ryder) in Girl, Interrupted. Not that we've been through the same stuff or anything. But we're similar somehow, and I remember being all wide-eyed for her and feeling like she understood my feelz when I was like twelve years old and emo, haha! And sometimes she's such a sissy that it gets me all annoyed, and that happens when thinking about myself too... *slowly creeps back into the shameful shadows*
