Assuming the ability of Zeppandon Shield is just light nullification, I can only see it nullifying the Z-ray definitely but the Deathcium Ray should then be able to penetrate the shield.

One possible explanation would be that the nullification of the Deathcium Ray can be attributed to perhaps the innate defensive capabilities of Zeppandon Shield (Assumption)

However, when Orb Origin used his Orb Ground Caliber against 2 Zeppandon Shields, the Shields completely shattered which can mean a few things here:

1. Orb Ground Caliber is strong enough to penetrate the innate defenses of Zeppandon Shield.

It was understood that Zeppandon Shield was a light-based nullifying ability so assuming that it only has that ability, the Orb Ground Caliber would just pass straight through the shield without any form of shattering with the shield remaining intact, this supports the idea that there is an innate defensive attribute to the shield in addition to the light nullification.

But this also implies that Orb Ground Caliber > Deathcium Beam. And as what I’ve posted recently that the Deathcium Beam is a registered '8’ in Ultra Fusion Fight, this would put Orb Ground Caliber at around 9 along with the likes of Bulky Chorus and Specium Star Drive.

But I just find it hard to believe that conclusion that Orb Ground Caliber is THAT op but heres another side of the argument which kinda supports this conclusion as well.

2. The weakness in Zeppandon Shield.

Assuming that there is another property of the shield, with its ability to nullify light based attacks BUT one of its drawback is that when used against a non-light based attack, not only the light nullification will not activate, but it also reduces the defensive capabilities of the shield itself.

This kinda therefore explains why the shield shattered when it came into contact with Orb Ground Caliber as the Earth-based attack may have reduced the durability of the shield itself, therefore shattering it.

BUT, the initial point of the shield not even budging as all when the Deathcium Beam was fired at it still suggests that Orb Ground Caliber > Deathcium Beam.

Which leads to the conclusion that Orb Ground Caliber really is OP considering that not only it BROKE the shield, but it also caused MAJOR damage to Zeppandon whom has the tanky capabilities of Zetton and Maga-Orochi.

OR

The reduction of the defensive capabilities of Zeppandon varies with which non-light-based attacks it is used against.

In this argument, perhaps we can say that a Darkness-based attack may just reduce the defensive capabilities of the shield to a MUCH lesser extent than and Earth-based attack.

This perhaps may be the most convincing argument as we all know Juggler was prepared to fight against Gai so he must’ve have taken precautions against all of Orb’s forms which implies that the extent of defensive reduction of the darkness element may be the same as the fire element (from Burnmite)
