totally forgot to post this… been super invested in gsgw, had to binge all of part 1 in less than a week 😭🙏

Because from all the characters so far, I think he’s the only one in the DER, who is a named character, that so far, still hasn’t died/been contaminated by a (succumbed to a) darkness to an unrecoverable degree yet, as far as Kim Soleum is aware.

I am 100% certain agent bronze and agent Choi both never get out of Lookymart. Agent bronze died in it in DER without Kim Soleum there, and agent Choi canonically became an employee in it.

Also pretty sure Eun Haje and Park Minseong both perished in the hangman game. Eun Haje died in it, and Park Minseong got contaminated in it, without being brought out (don’t think they died in Tuesday quiz show, because they went in early due to Kim Soleum, so they either were the last participants to make it out safe, or they didn’t go in at all after the last party all died in it)

There’s J3 who’s already contaminated beyond recovery (as far as we’re aware) before even the beginning of the story.

Not sure about whether assistant manager butterfly, supervisor dolphin were on the tamra express or not in DER, they might’ve been, and in that case they both lost their mind and died in it.

Pretty sure Chief lizard would’ve died in the grooms story without Kim Soleum’s interference, but Kim Soleum never mentions that at all, so maybe not. But now we’re all aware what kind of darkness chief lizard would’ve died in.

Even the (very) non named characters like Jang Heowoon, and Go Yeongeun we’re vaguely aware in which specific Darknesses (plural for them, because if Kim Soleum hadn’t been there, there are many times they would’ve never made it out) they could’ve, would’ve possibly perished in.

And then there is Baek Saheon, like do you get what I’m saying?

He’s the only named character so far, who we have no idea which Darkness would’ve been the end of him. He would’ve survived the orientation test on his own, he would’ve made it out of the manor of the blind, he would’ve not been erased in the Sekwang Technical high school story, the only time Kim Soleum could be said to have saved him it’s counterproductive, because he wouldn’t even have picked up the cassette tape if not for Kim Soleum, he definitely would’ve made it out of the Cheerful theme park somehow, even if he got dropped in the red zone (I just forgot he wasn’t even in it, but there’s a chance he might’ve been), he would’ve been the only survivor of the Tamra express disaster, he would’ve obviously made out of the mermaids grave, would’ve made it out of Jisan village (without needing a wish ticket probably, it may not have been destroyed, but I’m certain he would’ve figured something out, worse comes to worst he really could’ve used a wish ticket), he made it out of the groom story, just like, do you understand? And these are only the ones we’re aware he went into, like obviously he’s been in even more, yet he still survived and managed to get out of every single one. So again, my question is, what kind of Darkness do you think DER Baek Saheon could’ve been unable to get out?

(Unless explicitly refuted by canon, I stand by what I said, won’t change my mind.

So like you’ve read, I’ve just been trying to guess (keep track of) which Darknesses would’ve been the end for which characters in DER (I swear it’s all subconsciously, it’s horrifying for me to think about it too, but it’s sooo interesting as well.) And then here comes the anomaly Baek Saheon, because we’re not told, not hinted at, and I can’t even guess what kind of darkness could possibly be the end for a character like him. Not so say he doesn’t have weaknesses, it’s just, he’s hellbent on survival, and he’s really, really good at it as well. Like can you imagine what kind of darkness a person like him would’ve been unable to get out of? Unless it was somehow impossible to? (Which is not really logical, and not common, like there’s always some way, that you simply haven’t figured out yet)

Seriously. Just seriously try to imagine, because I for one sure as hell can’t. If you instead told me to imagine him working the rest of his life at daydream until he died of natural causes (that couldn’t be remedied by any of the Daydream potions as well?) that I can imagine. In fact I’d have an easier time trying to imagine him just getting hit by a car, or something like a building material dropping on top of him and killing him. But when you think about it, that’s also not feasible, he would obviously take precautions, he wouldn’t put himself in dangerous situations ever outside of darknesses especially when he didn’t have to. Think he’d (obviously) be paranoid as fuck as well, and he’d keep on living to see another day because of it. Like, how do you think he would even die? Not that I think he wants to live forever, just, as we all know, he’s just really really good at surviving.

That is why, I am so so interested in seeing DER Baek Saheon in the story, like I want it to happen so bad, like I want to hear anything on him at all (without the viper nickname comments, we get it! He’s an insidious bastard! Tell me more! Tell me what else is there!) like I need for that to happen. I need a comparison of how different DER Baek Saheon is from our Baek Saheon, or how surprisingly similar they are despite how differently their time after Daydream went. Like pleaseeeee, I need it so bad. *currently gnawing, gnashing and rolling madly around on the floor*

(think he’s the only DER character I’m interested in? Yeah think so (everyone else (majority of them) is either dead or contaminated in my opinion 💀 I don’t want to know about that), like tell me I’m not the only one? I need anything on how differently it went for him, thus how different he is from our Baek Saheon (like he can’t not be different, this guy never met Kim Soleum! He was the *psycho* (according to Kim Soleum, which I’m taking with a grain of salt, because he’s talking about Baek Saheon (like what exactly made you decide you never want to even try associating with him normally? What exactly did DER Baek Saheon do??? Or how many of them did he do? Which our Baek Saheon probably haven’t done at all, or to the same extent, due to being constantly antagonized by Kim Soleum)) Like I need anything on him at all, it feels too much to dream, hope that he’d make an actual appearance in the story, then at least tell us something about him, literally anything, pleaseee (except the viper comment, Kim Soleum stop 😭, our Baek Saheon never got to be the viper cause you nipped that in the bud, tell us something else pleaseee 😭)

It would be so funny, if DER Baek Saheon made an appearance, and he also gets promptly scared out of his mind by Kim Soleum, like that would be so funny. Just imagine him being like, this is me in this universe? You’re pathetic, turns around and Kim Soleum just scares the shit out him, and he’s like, oh, I get it now. Understandable, don’t mind what I said before. Like that won’t happen, but it’s so funny to imagine.

Realistically I think he would see through Kim Soleum’s act, probably, like he’s seeing him from an objective third point of view, he’d obviously be wary, but still think he’d see through some of his act. Then immediately proceed to think, am I dead? Cause this guy (or darkness, depending on how they meet) he’s never seen before, is surrounded by who he’s pretty sure are all his dead coworkers. (and is that the disaster management bureau agents? What are they doing here as well? At least his coworkers made some semblance of sense for being there, he’s never even seen one of these agents before as well.))

Kinda funny, very sweet but I too would feel offended after being accused of not caring when I was right there the entire time trying to help but not forcing anything.

I get you Braun, 😖 but I'm also glad that KSE kinda felt the need to say that you know, feels like he also cares since he cares enough to get mad that Braun seemed to just appear when it was convenient for him.
