Maybe this doesn't make sense. I mean, we weren't even in the same country any more, how could she control my behaviour? Couldn't I just do what I wanted?

But I was in pretty deep in this relationship. I really loved her, and still felt validated by being wanted by her. She was also the only person who knew that I was gay (though I was still figuring that out), and it was really powerful to have SOMEONE that I felt like I could be honest with. It was like a secret binding us together.

I'm sorry that this page is late. Things have been... not good. I am getting through it. But my resilience is pretty low right now, and I'm really struggling to keep up with things. Thanks for understanding.
