The difference in views astonishes me, Gastina fans are really reviving. I wonder if it'll be the same once I get to the other scenes. Then again, Gastina is the only ship they did right this season.
While Lutteo did have some pretty good scenes, it kind of went downhill near the end.
When we first heard the gastina song it related so much to the both of them. Seeing it with its context - Gaston wrote her the song. It shows how much it affected Gaston to let her go. He had so much regret it not fighting harder to save their relationship and it really did hurt him. He would cry in the rain and when he sleeps and is awake he dreams of her. Her memory still on his pillow.
It is so raw and beautiful that despite the breakup he still felt like she owns a part of his soul - the part that is missing. Inside his frozen mind all he thought about was Nina. While we can see through his words how painful the breakup was he always knew one of them would have to walk away to ease the pain. It's cause of it all that he is hurt by it.
Whilst being apart he still had her pictures up meaning he was never ready to let her go. We can see he has so much regret that he feels it's his karma which caused this pain that he tried to tell himself wouldn't last long - it did.
He remembers every gesture, memory and kiss so it's no suprise he never moved on from her. Pretty much confirmed he never had another girlfriend after Nina. He probably went on dates but that's it cause no one could ever compare.
He looks for signs of hope for them. He can't stay still while he waits for her because he has hope they will find each other again. He remembers the moment before their world ended and where the breakup happened. Now all that is left was what was between the two of them. Deep down he has always had hope that they would find each other.
The song is just beautiful and especially cause we finally understood what Gaston went through and his Pov. Him being in pain and crying over Nina honestly is heartbreaking.
Also shows that in s3 a lot of it contradicts itself now. That phone call - yeah both Nina and Gaston never moved on and were still suffering but we know he acted like he was okay but deep down it was painful.
And they did. Their pain and suffering ended when they found each other again.
If it's meant to be then it will be. And for Gastina - the sea returned their names to each other.
Honestly best romance/ best song in the album heheh.
Only Gaston could return to get back the girl he loves and actually mean it. Just saying hehe. It may be four years later but worth it.
Tell 18 yr old Nina and 19 year old Gaston that they made it. 22 yr old Nina and 23 yr Gaston will now never let each other go!! ( yes ik the timeline in soy luna is weird but it's basically that lol).
