Gaster knows better than anyone how dangerous unfettered curiosity can be... But there's someone who knows the risks of his black-and-white judgment, and he finally got it together enough to enter the fray properly... at the last possible moment. Hey, when else would he show up?

Yeah yeah, you all knew this moment was coming, right? heheh, it should be no surprise that i've been looking forward to it for a long time too. We're at the real turning point of the fight :>

I guess it depends on the context of the situation of when he first saw one, maybe also if corrupted and og nightmare are still the same person in this interpretation—in that, if they’re still the same person and nightmare was corrupted at 6 years old, it’d also potentially depend on how old he was when he first saw a Gaster Blaster as well.

Regardless of if they’re the same person or not, however, if I recall correctly—some of Corrupted Nightmare’s personality is based of his host’s, which is one reason why it still enjoys reading so much and why it hates bullies.

If he was still the same person and a kiddo, there’s potential that his first reaction could’ve been fear and avoidance. But from what I recall of og nightmare, he was the curious type of person—although he seemed to be the type to prefer learning his knowledge from books. He’s book smart, I suppose.

So if he hadn’t read about Gaster Blasters prior to seeing them before, I think there’s a chance he’d probably try to research them and learn what he can about them. Either because he’s genuinely curious, or because he’s the type to want to learn whatever he can about something he feels threatened by, maybe?

If there aren’t any books yet existing on Gaster Blasters, perhaps he decides to try and make his own books via his own research and observation? Perhaps he “enlists” the help of professional researchers or those who have Gaster Blasters, too. And of course, this is assuming he cares about Gaster Blasters at all.
