The day they met, Haku had been talking to one of his Kikaichu believing nobody was around to witness him, which is a detail that picked Shino's interest right away. After all, who does that other than a person who deeply respects insects?

With his interest picked, Shino made sure they met again... And again... Hoping to build a friendship not born from professional obligations, something he's never done. It's been going well, to his surprise! Haku has been nice to talk with!

Today, they are sitting in the grass right in front of a bush filled with flowers... And bugs. Shino has been pointing out the different ones and explaining their roles. The ants climb each branch to wander into each flower, gathering nectar for their nests. Aphids are sucking sap and keeping their guards up for any upcoming ladybug. Bees, bumblebees and even flies come for nectar and pollen.

Shino had been so enthralled in his explanations that he failed to notice Haku's eyes on him until he heard a soft giggle. He's not sure what's funny but... Cute. The Aburame turns his head to look at his new friend, wishing to see his smile and- feeling it on his own lips instead. Shino freezes, brows shooting up! There was no warning, Haku just suddenly kissed him on the mouth! It was so sudden that Shino immediately felt his entire face heat up, surely sporting a bright blush!
