As promised, here is my vegan garlic naan recipe. This recipe doesnโt have to be vegan if you only have dairy milk and regular butter on hand ๐. โ โจโ โจ#dEats : whisk 1 ยพ cups all purpose flour, ยพ tsp baking powder, 2 tsp coconut sugar (can use cane sugar if not doing vegan), and 1 tsp salt together in a bowl. Make a well in center of mixture and add ยพ unsweetened milk of choice (I used oat milk) and 2 tsp oil (I used avocado oil but olive oil would work too). Combine all ingredients into a dough and then need on floured surface for ~5 min. Let dough rest for 10 min then split into 8 pieces and roll out into super thin circles. Heat a bit of dairy free butter (my fav is crountry crock plant butter) in a pan and cook each piece for about 1.5 min on each side. Once the naan is done cooking, melt some more vegan butter and brush each piece then sprinkle with garlic and cilantro. โ
๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฅ @kahanilondon have launched a great lil incentive for when you order a take away. The โRed Envelopeโ campaign can see you win one of the following prizes: 50% off your next take away. Free Next Take Away. Private Dinner for Two. ๐๐๐๐ In Asian culture a red envelope signifies a monetary gift and they will be hiding them in some of your take aways! So if youโre within range, all you have to do is order some food! Iโve dined in at Kahani once and had one of the best meals Iโve had, and I can tell you that the level doesnโt drop when you get it delivered. You HAVE to try the Tandoori Somerset Lamb Chops, this is non negotiable, and also the blackened chicken. After that, you could literally pick anything else and it will not disappoint. The spiced chickpeas also shouldnโt be missed, along with the jeera aloo. @kahanilondon are also open for private dining. With a minimum of 6 people you can get the whole restaurant to yourself! Or better still, you can have @chefpeterjoseph come to your house to cook. If youโre a red envelope winner then let me know! . . . . . #kahani #asianfood #asianfoodporn #indianfood #indianfoodlovers #indianfoodtales #indianfoods #indianfoodporn #curry #tandoori #tandoor #aloo #naan #naanbread #garlicnaan #cheesenaan #londonfood #londonlife #londoneats #londonist #londonguru #londonfoodguide #londonfoodspots #timeoutlondon #indianrestaurant (at Kahani) https://www.instagram.com/p/CC-qfhOHAuB/?igshid=g4op6ujrx1gc

As a side dish or snack, this tasty garlic naan doesn't need yeast and is easy to make. It's also gluten-free and vegan. The almond flour makes the naan taste nutty and makes it soft.
Ingredients: 1 cup gluten-free flour. 1/4 cup almond flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup dairy-free yogurt. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro optional. 2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine gluten-free flour, almond flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add dairy-free yogurt and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then cover and let it rest for 30 minutes. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts. Roll out each part into a thin oval shape. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook each naan for about 2 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned and cooked through. While the naan is cooking, mix minced garlic and chopped cilantro in melted vegan butter. Brush the garlic-cilantro butter over the cooked naan. Serve warm.

Homemade garlic naan bread that has just been baked is turned into tasty dumplings that are filled with garlic and cilantro. You can eat these crunchy dumplings as a snack or as an appetizer.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup plain yogurt. 2 tablespoons melted butter. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped. Oil for frying.
Instructions: In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the plain yogurt and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into balls. Flatten each ball into a small disc, then add a pinch of minced garlic and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro in the center. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to seal and shape it into a dumpling. Heat oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the garlic naan dumplings until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the dumplings from the oil and place them on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve the garlic naan dumplings hot with your favorite dipping sauce or chutney.
