As a side dish or snack, this tasty garlic naan doesn't need yeast and is easy to make. It's also gluten-free and vegan. The almond flour makes the naan taste nutty and makes it soft.
Ingredients: 1 cup gluten-free flour. 1/4 cup almond flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup dairy-free yogurt. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro optional. 2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine gluten-free flour, almond flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add dairy-free yogurt and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then cover and let it rest for 30 minutes. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts. Roll out each part into a thin oval shape. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook each naan for about 2 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned and cooked through. While the naan is cooking, mix minced garlic and chopped cilantro in melted vegan butter. Brush the garlic-cilantro butter over the cooked naan. Serve warm.
