the orientation of the elements and their alignment with the seasons is entirely up to you and your practice. i designed these with my own interpretation of the elements, but please feel free to customize to your garden space and own elemental beliefs.
these gardens can be designed for all sorts of purposes, such as a flower garden, an herb garden, or a fruit/vegetable garden; i'll describe plant options per each element for each of these below the cut.
