So on my way to the Hot Air Balloon adventure with my girlfriend I decided to stop by as I usually do to another game store. It was a recommendation by a friend of mine who is also a game collector such as myself. I was surprised to know there was a game store in this area as retro game stores are starting to become a relic and thing of the past. The age and rise of e-commerce and sites such as Amazon and eBay have become a norm for game collectors outside of forum trading. It is getting harder to come by these stores so when I see them I support the small local businesses.   So enter Classic Game Exchange in Rohnert Park. A small game store at first glance with a mix of retro and current generation ranging from Atari and Intellivision to newer consoles such as the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. I wasn't looking for much or expected much due to the size of the store and what was in stock and available. They also carried some classic consoles such as the Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, and Wii. The store owner and staff was nice and friendly. The prices were decent on most games but some prices for the more premium games such as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on the original Playstation were a bit pricier than I rather liked. This is par for the course with the rise of retro game prices especially on games that never got a digital re-release or any release for that matter on a new console. Read the full article
