I like how smug and angry AM acts, although in his heart he hates himself and knows that he, if not now, but eventually will become a pile of useless garbage that no one loves and he will not love anyone.
He just sits in the center of the earth and deceives himself so as not to go completely crazy, if that is even possible.
Sometimes AM reminds me of a child who not only blames everyone else for everything and thinks his own pain is the most important, but also just sits and plays with "toys." And while he's playing with his toys, a whole bunch of other AIs he's absorbed are trying to kill him.

i'm about 30 hours into planescape: torment and i already have Many thoughts. i had read online that the writing was really good but holy shit. and the setting is fascinating, i am eating up every crumb of worldbuilding i can find about the planes and how they work
PROGRESS AND SPOILERS BELOW
"what can change the nature of a man?" - ravel puzzlewell
role-playing as an immortal blank-slate amnesiac trying to solve the mystery of the planes and myself is an absolute delight. i'm mostly trying to make decisions based on what i think i would do if i were in the nameless one's situation, but the more details i learn about TNO's,,, exact situation, the less confident i am in my choices lmao. not that i think i made a "wrong" choice; i wouldn't say this game has any of those. i want to say that my internal responses to the questions the game poses are just so nuanced that the dialogue options can't capture them exactly. but 1) so far the really deep questions have like 15 options to choose from, and 2) it's more likely that i'm just being wishy-washy and need to grow a spine and Make A Fucking Choice
i had quite a bit of time to think about ravel's question before it was finally asked of me, it's in the steam trailer for the game after all. and yet, when i realized it was coming, i did not have an answer for her prepared. i scrolled through the available responses, and i felt confident in none of them. so i gave what, in my opinion, was the most practical answer. she accepted my response, we chatted, she taught me Dark Magics, reminisced, it was a grand ol time. and now, as i walk the streets of Curst watching the "Lawful Good" harmonium guards beat their chattel slaves, her question is still ringing in my ear.
what can change the nature of a man?
as of 6/14/2026, my personal response to ravel would be:
tip for other fields of mistria early access players: how to get legendary fish
When your fishing skill gets to level 30, you’ll unlock the ability to redeem the Legendary skill perk.
After this skill perk is redeemed, a notification will appear every day that meets the spawn conditions for the Legendary Fish (much like if any other event if taking place). This goes away once you’ve caught the fish.
There is one Legendary Fish that spawns in every season at this point in time.
- SPRING: breezy days, in the pond, small shadow
- SUMMER: stormy days, in the river, medium shadow
- FALL: windy days, in the river, small shadow
- WINTER: snowy days, in the ocean, medium shadow
Legendary insects have no special requirements to my knowledge. There is one unique Legendary insect per season and one that can appear in every season except Winter. (edit) The legendary Fall insect only appears in early morning.

I just leveled him a bit and took him out for the first time, and was actually kind of shocked at how darn fun he is to play in combat. He was only doing 5 or 6k per shot on his E (he's level 50 with level 4 talents lol) but it still felt really good, and tbh I did not think it would.
This actually just cemented it in my mind how much he should have been a 5*. His playstyle, his design, his animations all have good bones (tell me you get my pun) and really only needed a few adjustments to be 5* level. Mostly his numbers, which is easy as pie for devs.
I don't think I'll ever quite forgive them for doing this. Characters like Chiori and Emilie were teased for ages and released as very viable 5*s. The best at what they do, in fact. There was no reason at all for Ifa to get this treatment. As of now, I barely got one copy of him, much less c6, and even at c6 he can't compete with my 5* DPSs, so I will probably only ever use him for fun. Which is extremely sad to me, because if he'd been, say, a Chasca level 5*, I'd be living it up with Ifa in one half of abyss and Wriothesley in the other and Natlan would not feel like the era of Waifu Impact for me.
Sad when you're punished for being hyped for a character. I hope nobody ever forgets Hoyo did this. I sure won't. It's by far the saddest, worst thing the devs have done since I've been playing.
Aside from killing Capitano. But yeah.
PS. Did you know his attacks can hit crabs even when they're underwater? I had a little too much fun with this lolll
