My birthday is here and I don’t want fancy gifts. I don’t need expensive clothes or jewelry, but what I would love more than anything is if you could help out these families in my linktree that are in dire need of help. The war in Gaza still continues leaving these families without food and for some of them, without family. They have lost a sense of security and hope for months and pray for an end to this horrid life.
And for Yusupha, his life in Gambia is not as simple. He lives in a village supporting his many siblings in doing his best to provide food and shelter and their dreams to have an education just as he has dreams of starting up his own business as a way to continue to provide care for his siblings.
They are all people like you and me who just want a chance at a better hand in life than what was dealt to them. They deserve better than their situations and if we come together we can help them get a chance at getting better (link will be in comments again)

Daily Featured Flag #29: The Gambia
Today's daily featured flag for 25 July, 2026 is the flag of The Gambia. This flag is, by far, the best horizontal tricolor I've ever seen, full stop. And yes, I'm counting it as a tricolor despite the white. The white bits are really thin, they don't count. This flag is already aesthetically pleasing, but its symbolism shines just as brightly as its appearance. The red represents the red hot sun and savannas of the country, which makes sense. The blue and green, rather obviously, represent the Gambia (as in, the river Gambia) and the grasslands, and the white represents the purity of the people (not in a racist way!) tying the country together on both the northern (red) and southern (green) shores of the nation. This flag is awesome and I'll never say otherwise.
