there is of course a moment of surprise and confusing flashing through the lieutenant's expression, mentally rushing to theorise the reason behind such kind gesture．
“ i take it these are from both of you? ”
she knows sometimes there is no reason for people to be kind, they just are． and so she accepts them in her hands and lets a soft smile take over her lips． it's hard not to at the sight of such a well behaved cute cat．
“ thank you, major ellis．”
