For as often as Ian has returned from class to find his roommate drowning in one of his hoodies, he should absolutely not feel guilty about rooting through the guy’s drawer for socks.

Except—

His roommate is a bit prickly. Especially about touching his stuff. But it’s an emergency! Ian’s midterm starts in 15 minutes and—

Ian stops short, his fingers catching on something he doesn’t expect. Something soft. Something … lacy. 

The doorknob rattles and Ian has only seconds to act, stuffing the blue thong into his pocket and spinning to face his roommate, blushing and breathless.

The fuck are you doing here?” Mickey asks, but it comes out softer than he intended. “You ask me that every year, and every year I give you the same answer.” Ian grins. “It’s Christmas.” Mickey rolls his eyes. “I asked you that last year, and I’m asking this year. That’s not every year.” “It’s every year since you’ve known me.” “I’ve known you since you were four. Don’t get cute.” Ian smiles outright. “But you like that I’m cute.”

7. Domestic headcanon?

Mickey and Ian don’t have a chore wheel, but they have chores they refuse to do. Mickey hates doing laundry (and has a minor habit of taking shit from the laundry room that is not his!), so Ian does the laundry. Ian hates doing dishes because he was usually the one to do them for both him AND Lip when Fiona delegated, so Mickey does them.

They have coffee mugs with ‘Domestic Bitch 1′ and ‘Domestic Bitch 2′ on them that Sandy got them for a wedding gift. 

They meal plan. Ian loves making breakfast for dinner. Mickey loves tacos.

Mickey never picks his socks up off the floor. Ian forgets to but trash bags back into the can after he takes out the trash. 

They rock, paper, scissor for who has to clean the bathroom.

Mickey argues with fruit sellers at the Farmers Market (which they go to every Saturday). Ian and the tomato growers chat about gardening

Mickey routinely goes with Ian to the rooftop garden on their condo. He doesn’t garden (except for the weed plant in their guest bedroom), but he likes to lie out in the sun while Ian tends to his little plants. 

Ian is a bad gardener. But he’s trying!

Mickey threatens anyone who laughs at Ian’s fucked up little tomatoes or his shriveled little herbs.

Every night before they go to bed, they watch Dance Moms or Bad Girls Club, cuddled up on the couch and then they go to bed, happy and content and ready for another thankfully uneventful day <3
