Oh Galactus, the terrifying hunk you are 💜
I saw this pointed out on a Marvel wiki (and it apparently cites back to an early 80s or late 70s fantastic four story), but Galactus and his first four heralds (or the four we meet first in the comics) are all based on the four elements. Silver Surfer, Air Walker, Firelord and Terrax. Water, Air, Fire and Earth. All blessed by the power cosmic, each of them is a different sort of elemental.
I think that's actually a really neat detail, and I think that Galactus as a whole is an interesting character. His punishment of the silver surfer was harsh, but I think those two still probably had some sort of camaraderie. If Galactus is a godlike being, that still means he's capable of emotion and feeling. I doubt he personally enjoys killing, but he's numb to it after years and years and years of being forced to in order to sustain himself.
Honestly, The Silver Surfer may still be the best of all of Galactus's heralds. Terrax is unambiguously evil, and Air Walker and Firelord seem complicated. I don't know enough about them to say too much, but Firelord certainly seems gullible (if his apperance in Chris Claremont's X-Men is anything to go by).

A little mini essay #2
"On one occasion, some time before Meteora and Galactus became a couple, she asked Galactus if she could rest on his helmet for a while. He asked her why, and she said it was just out of curiosity, but in reality it was more because she was already falling in love with him and wanted to be as close to him as she could, but she didn't have the courage to tell him yet. That's why, for the time being, she asks him for these things that may seem simple or insignificant to Galactus, but to her they mean everything. Galactus accepted her request after a while. In any case, they had been good friends for a long time, and although she never told him, she enjoyed his company in a certain way. Then Meteora floated to the top of his magenta helmet and rested on the empty part. She couldn't feel if the helmet was cold or hot; she wasn't created to feel the temperature of things, but she felt so comfortable and safe that, without realizing it, she fell asleep. After a few hours, Galactus wakes her up; she is startled to realize that she has fallen asleep and apologizes, asking him how long she has been asleep. Galactus simply replies that she has been asleep for three hours while he meditated in the seat of his ship. Meteora was about to go look for a planet when she realized something: Galactus had let her sleep on his helmet the whole time, and it didn't seem to bother him. Maybe that's why she didn't get a response when she apologized."
