Tumblr turned into a very dark place for me post-Oct. 7th, 2023, which is why I ended up taking a break for the greater part of a year and a half. I'm really just, so glad to discover joy again on this site and share in the celebration and love for Artemis II and human space exploration as a whole.

On April 12th, two days after the projected splashdown, we will celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight, the day humanity became spacefarers... The timing is so perfect.

The Artemis 2 crewmembers captured a spectacular view of Earth setting behind the moon through the window of their Orion spacecraft on Flight Day 6 of NASA's historic 10-day mission, as they passed over the far side of the lunar surface. They called it "Earthset," in reference to the iconic image captured by Bill Anders on Christmas Eve in 1968 during the Apollo 8 mission.
