It'd been a rather successful day. The city was safe, small-time villains were behind bars, and the people were celebrating. He's been rather enjoying the calmness of hero life since Shroud and the rest of his Red Ring were taken care of. Sonar knew it wouldn't last forever, it never did, but to focus on the good times rather than the bad was a needed thing to get through life.
Coupe was back; Robert readily hiring her back on probation and though Sonar feared it would be awkward, she'd taken the extra step to apologize and he to her as well. Like nothing was ever wrong in the first place.
The Z-Team family was back together. As it ought to stay.
A hand pats his back, a heavy thump that nearly startles Sonar, if he hadn't heard the other man approach him first. The purred words, "Good boy," were spoken quietly, fluffing fur up in alarm as the words reverberated through large ears. The hand draws back; Decker begins to take his leave, meandering towards the police, leaving a rather startled bat hybrid off behind him. Sonar can see that smug ass grin on his face though. He can't fucking hide it!
"Y'can't just...dude! What? How dare?!" Sonar starts right off after him, cuz he's absolutely not going to let Decker get away with the last word. That would mean Sonar's slacking. "At least buy me dinner first if you're gonna be throwing good boys around!"
