so i went back and changed a couple of character names, again, just for nightlight nightmare right now tho (i do have some names i wanna change in ctrl+alt+dlt but i'll do that in a bit im kinda sick rn)

literally nobody cares about doing this except for me but if/when i find ocs or fangans that have names im using in them, it bugs me so bad. i literally hate using duplicate names and i do everything in my power to avoid them when i find them (because then i can't look at my character without thinking of the other character, and comparisons are sooooooo irritating, all oc owners know the feeling)

so!!! without me rambling n makin this post 3982983 pages long...

aya has been renamed to taemi, i like her new name because one of the kanji can mean 'mysterious', which i feel fits her personality a lot better!! also, she follows the t-a name format of tegakari, further adding into the fact of them being identical twins

i decided to tackle making hisayo today!!!!!!! ive always had ideas for like ultimate graffiti artists n generally people working on the streets but im surprised ive never made an ult skateboarder before

i did decide to do something different with her tho, i was playing dti just fucking around a couple days ago and got inspired by some of the themes on there, n may or may not have put some of those themes into her design unintentionally before i was even done with her

so!!!!!!! i decided to change hisayo's name entirely, and i then intentionally put references to those themes in her design!!!

hisayo has been renamed to hyeon ha-neul, and her design draws inspiration from both japanese and korean street styles because she is mixed korean/japanese!! her father is south korean and her mom is japanese, so she takes on a korean name because of her dad (kids in korea usually take on the surname of their father, so i decided to entirely make her name korean to match)

my design for her is under the cut, im super proud of it <3

and no im not sorry that she also has little shit energy:tm:, literally all of my characters do i just can't help it

...but that's because i have to show it with another redesign hehehe

i redesigned yoshirou for nightlight nightmare BUT if youll remember, he is haruna's twin brother!!! when redesigning him, i decided to make them both identical twins after a poll in my server, so i designed them together and paired them in the art for their pages

so, for both fangans, here's redesigns for yoshirou and haruna!!!!!

yes they both have permanent blush marks. i like to think in this scenario they're pretending to be eachother's ultimates, theyre cute

also yoshirou is chubby!!!!!! he's super comfortable in his body now, he and haruna were straight up identical because he was born as her sister, but after transitioning he feels much happier and i think that shows in him physically as well

the only differences between them are hair length and outfits pretty much, i got a bit lazy with the pants n shoes but i figured they would match there anyways so i didn't change it. they also have matching accessories to remind themselves of eachother!! haruna has cloud earrings to match the emblem on yoshirou's news hat and he has pink hairclips coloured like haruna's striped shirt n socks

also below the cut are designs with yoshirou without his news hat and haruna with her news hat, just for referencing

i also wanted to show that, yes, they have matching ahoges. i made yoshirou's hair before i asked the server if he and haruna should be identical twins, which also included me adding the ahoge before i remembered you. literally never see it because he's always wearing his hat... but you do see it on haruna!! and just like her prior designs, i couldn't separate haruna from her hat (and it's another aspect of her matching outfits with yoshirou anyways, i could never change it)

and i should probably make this disclaimer ahead of time but ahem

i intend for my stories to be for an 18+ audience, regardless of the subjects i do or don't handle within them, or the medium(s) with which i display my designs

i should probably also restate that just like on main i do block minors that interact with my content. i can't entirely prevent it bc... well, this is the internet, and using gacha life as a medium for my designs is going to get them to look at my content anyways unfortunately, i'll just do what i can to keep an uptime on my notes and followers to the best of my abilities

obviously im gonna feel bad if there are any minors that go through or enjoy my content or even make something based off of my stories like fanart or whatever, it's just something i would probably enjoy from a distance and not directly. i do not feel comfortable interacting with minors, and i especially don't want to run any risks to them by highlighting their content in an 18+ environment

in regards to the story, i'm not gonna push myself to explore things that i physically can't handle researching let alone writing, but i do want to push myself to stop being afraid of darker subjects in media

honestly its kinda funny to look at me being like 'im a serious writer' while using a 'stupid' medium to display my 'serious writing' lmao. but, my first gacharonpa story was ctrl+alt+dlt, and i started making it with the general concept being 'i want to show that anyone can make a serious story regardless of the mediums they use, whether it's gacha life for character designs, or windows movie maker to play images and audio', and i intend to stick by that concept even for my other fangan stories

i loosely follow the whole team danganronpa thing from v3 specifically with this killing game over the other ones i have

i like to think that the logos shown in v3 were killing games that were significant enough to be remembered and not skipped over, the rest just. didn't get that luxury because they didn't hit with every audience like the others did, up until v3 of course

nightlight nightmare, in my 'im following v3' concept, is a killing game that takes place after v3, in a world where team danganronpa still has some semblance of power on a small audience that didn't go against ending the killing games for good, likely an underground operation functioning on the dark web or something

the killing game itself is made up of characters from killing games team danganrnpa failed to host after v3 ended. they failed either because funding wasn't secured for the location/the broadcasting, they were found by another organization (like the future foundation), or they just couldn't garner enough interest to even begin the game

the issue is that they already began the kidnapping of ultimate students before the games actually started, so they just 'had' these 'actors' already, and needed to use them somehow, whiiiiiiiiich is where nightlight nightmare comes in

some of the character casts were very small because of a lack of resources or interest in the killing game concepts they were attempting to produce, meaning that they could only 'reuse' maybe 2-3 characters

for instance, hikari and yuuya (the ult superhero and ult cake decorator) were both meant to be the protagonists of their own killing games! hikari's used the acronym d.i.c.e. and yuuya's was called over the painbow. both of these names are real fangans that i planned to make on my own, hikari's being the oldest and yuuya's being the newest. i made hikari's original design in 2019 or so, and redesigned her a few years before her current design, and yuuya's design was original made in gl2 last year

i ended up canning both of the killing games because i just didn't have anything interesting to write for them and i didn't like their concepts. for example, yuuya's was named the way it was because every character had a specific colour motif that made up the entire rainbow, with a few outliers. his colour motif was orange

but, i always kept the characters in the hopes that i could use them for another killing game, and after a few other... failed concepts that i made myself, i came up with the team danganronpa idea, and made nightlight nightmare to build off of that

it quite literally encompasses all of the characters from killing games that i've abandoned, minus a few that i removed because i just. didn't like the characters both conceptually and design wise. i could very easily split up the characters into two groups of 16 with the protags i have. actually, if i did that with jun'ichi as the protagonist (like he is now), almost every character in his half of the split came from his original killing game, which nightlight nightmare turned into
