SENDER throws their jacket over RECEIVER'S shoulders β ghoul to lucy
β’ β’ The Ghoul was an enigma to Lucy. One moment he could be the most despicable creature she had ever met. Then suddenly he showed her glimpses of the man he used to be. Not the man before the irradiation, but before his trauma. Hints of a gentleman, who knew softness. It was clear that there was something more to his ire than simply changing shape. These were times she secretly cherished. Though she never made a big deal of it, worried sheβd scare him back into his shell.
Β Β Β Crimson grew across her face, as he put his jacket over her shoulders. It smelled like cigarettes and musk; she found she didnβt mind as much as she thought she would. It seemed that she had grown accustomed to, or even fond his scent. There was a strange safety she associated it with now. It was easy to forget all the bad things he had done to her, when faced with all the good. Even if his foul mouth and attitude could drive her batty.
Β Β Β βT-Th-anks.β Lucy hadnβt even noticed she was shivering. Addiction was ravaging her, and she wasnβt sure she had the strength to stop it. Since he rescued her β heβd shown her more grace. It was hard not to notice. She snuggled into his jacket, used his collar to hide her blushing. βWhere do you want to stop tonight? I think I have a few good hours of walking left in me.β If she kept moving, maybe she could exhaust herself out of craving more drugs.
