From the Godzilla Color Special #1 (1992) from Dark Horse Comics. Art by Art Adams, colors by Rachelle Menashe.
G-Foce arrives on the remote island of Kiryoku-shima to warn the residents that Godzilla is approaching. The local priestess, Ookii'Mune, insisted that the local god, Genkido-Jin, will protect the islanders from Godzilla.
Genkido-Jin was a homage to Daimajin, Daiei Film's samurai-era kaiju that is usually in statue form until its spirit is invoked and it wreaks vengeance on evildoers.
Dragonflies can accelerate up to 4 G in straight flight and withstand up to 9 G during sharp turns when hunting prey.

This is Yelena's guinea pig by the way, if any of you care
If they ever redo Sky High, imma need G-Force level guinea pig animation for Magenta’s powers
I recently enjoyed working with Oracle Time, a luxury watch magazine, to create a series of full-page editorial illustrations. The artwork accompanied a feature exploring how G-Force and shock resistance affect watches.
The article puts everyday impacts into perspective - from watches falling off surfaces or being knocked against walls, to more extreme tests like a full golf swing to the wrist, a baseball bat strike, or hitting an F1 barrier.
I channelled my inner Margaret Calvert (co-designer of the UK’s iconic road signs) to imagine how these scenarios might look as hazard signs.
