Hi everyone! 👋🏻 Never done this before so may not land but thought I’d take a shot in the dark lmao. If you follow me, you may have seen in my Stranger Things masterlist that I'm working on a fic that spans the full timeline of seasons 1-5. It follows canon closely through season 2 then diverges significantly. No Russian subplot, a completely different summer 1985 threat, and an ending that tries to fix some of what didn't land in season 5 for me (anticlimactic final battle, underwhelmingly low stakes, convoluted Upside Down/Vecna lore).

The fic is heavily focused on the older teens because I really wanted to focus on their trauma/experience more deeply than the show did. Because I stuck with the characters’ canon ages, this won’t be smutty so it’s definitely different from my usual fic, but idk I just couldn’t get this idea out of my head in grieving the end of the show. It expands to a full ensemble POV eventually but is primarily centered on a Henderson!OFC (she started as a reader insert but just became too much of her own person tbh to justify that) and her slow burn relationship with Steve. Part 1 is fully drafted, Part 2 is about 3/4 done, and my goal is to finish drafting Part 3 this summer and start posting in September. Still outlining Parts 4 and 5 so I'd be looking for ideas on that as well!

I've never worked with beta readers before so I'm open to whatever that looks like, but mainly I'm looking for someone to bounce ideas off of, flag inconsistencies, and give honest feedback on whether scenes and character moments are landing.

There's just always going to be that one ship that's a little more meant to be.

Ben first fell in love with Steve began as a small crush as a child while they were still friends...but obviously things changed. Then Steve came back to save him and the others from the Demogordon...then he was the one who stood up for him against Billy...Then he was the one who he first confessed to with who he really was and accepted him...From time and time again after that night in the Byers house...Steve Harrington was the only one in Ben's life he could trust and depend on. And who Ben was truly in love with from the very beginning.

Side note: SO! I was originally gonna do this for Day 5 and my beloved Hoppington again with a different edit for Day 7 but uh I did not plan my time well lol!! I also uploaded this vid on my YouTube!

"ABBA," She says without thinking. It surprises her as much as it surprises him. "I don't know, they sound like happiness to me." Steve hums in approval and turns the radio up.

re-Introducing: Ash Puckett

Ash Puckett wouldn’t say she hates her life. Sure, she wishes she didn’t live in a run-down trailer on the edge of Hawkins, didn’t have to spend her weekends working at the Cinema just to help pay bills, had a normal family, and could finally get out of this town for good. Doesn’t everybody?

When her mother lands herself in the hospital yet again, Ash doesn’t think much will change. She’s worried—she always is—but it’s not like this is the first time it’s happened.

Until her father shows up and decides that this time he cares and insists she can't stay alone, causing her to move across the town with him and the picture-perfect family he crafted for himself. Ash expects the worst part will be the awkward dinners, being away from her best friend Eddie, and sharing a room with Gracie, her half-sister, but soon she's about to discover that it would be the least of her worries.

Because what's coming is bigger than her family problems. Bigger than Hawkins. Bigger than the whole world she knows.

And that is just the begging of the worst week of her life.
