The death of his dearest brother changed his life completely. He wasn't really cheerful, happy, easygoing as he always portrays himself in front of others, Sans never loved himself too much, he always hid his depression and sadness. Papyrus was the Pilar of his existence, the one who brought light and happiness to his miserable life. It was for him that despite everything he was there alive. But now? What now? He isn't here anymore... right?

Sans was feeling lost.

He arrived to his house, the house with Christmas lights in Snowdin. Looking around the living room, he saw little memories from him with his younger brother. Memories about when he joked to his brother, or watching a movie together. Sans felt a weight on his chest, he was tired. Tired of everything.

But there was something he remembered. About someone forgotten. Someone who no one remembered. Only him. Someone very special to him. He saw him fall down the CORE.

He knew that monster had not yet dead. He had found his tracks in Waterfall, probably the ghost of that monster lived there, wandering and looking without being seen by anyone. Therefore, Sans knew what he was going to do. Back to work on his own research.

He decided to work in his laboratory, looking for new ways to find ways to save him, to bring back the doctor. He was lonely, he needed someone, nobody was going to stop him.

After several weeks of searching and researching in other timelines, he remembered something. With determination you could bring to life a monster. But the experiment could be imperfect, creating amalgams. That was he found in the true lab, and the documentation from Alphys.

But--- what if there was a way that the determination could create a fusion?

                 This is crazy. It won’t work. But. I want to save him.

Thanks to one of the timelines, he got a vial of determination and with it, could create a sort of potion. He didn’t test it, the experiment could fail. But he didn’t care about die or not, if he went ahead, the doctor could back to life, although he lost consciousness. Or at least that's what he thought.

The last thing he needed was to find him. It was months to finally find a strange door in Waterfall. It was a mysterious door, where he decided to enter.

He could feel the chill in his bones. The door closed and the place was dark, he could not see anything. The skeleton started walking, looking around. Was he in the wrong place? There seemed nothing---

A strange figure appeared in front of the skeleton. He saw see this monster had scars on his eyes, and his eyes were gray, shinning. Sans decided to move away from him, scared, afraid. He didn't expected he changed that much. It seemed he was melting, his body was not stable. He should help him. But he realized something.

The doctor was using telekinesis to try to steal the soul while showing a wicked smile. GASTER was crazy, acting like a demon, by instinct, by selfishness. He was trying to kill the short skeleton.

* no--- no no no. gaster--- listen to me, i’m here to help ya! please!

Gaster did not listen, and the battle had begun. Sans had no choice but to dodge attacks of the other monster, to protect his soul. The battle was quite fast, between bones and shadows, between blasters and telekinesis. The Void had become to a field full of bones and destroyed blasters.

Sans hid behind a destroyed blaster. From his jacket, pulled out the vial with the strange potion. With tears in his eye sockets, he decided to do it. There was no turning back. He uncorked the vial and drank the liquid.

          Cough---                       Cough                                Cough cough

The skeleton began to see blurry, tired, felt his bones burning. Slowly, he rose from where he was, and began to walk toward Gaster. The other monster was going to attack him, but as he saw he seemed to get caught, so he did not attack him. The two approached, Gaster tried to wrest the soul, and without knowing how, the two bodies began to fuse.

The Void began to crack, in fact, all Waterfall. From there, they left white portals all around it. The timeline had been corrupt since that incident should never have happened.

In the middle of the place, a tall skeleton, naked, was with two scars on his face. He opened his eyesockets a little, sat on the floor, and looked around. He realized that his right eye didn’t work, and the place looked destroyed. He looked at himself, he was scared, he didn’t know what to do.
