Hello all! Elliot from Future Thieves here. Itās summer! We live in Nashville, TN so when I say summer I mean itās summer. You can feel it in the air. 95 degree days with no lack of humidity.
But thatās alright cause weāre releasing new music, and itās an exciting time for us. Weāve been working on our new self-titled, full-length record for the last year, and itās finally time for everyone to get a listen!
We released our first single āDark Spinā on June 1st and are set to release two more singles before the album drops September 7. Thanks to everyone thatās listened so far and keep your eyes and ears out for more.
Anyway, letās need out. With summer comes tons of fun for me. I grew up on a farm in eastern Kentucky. Some of you who follow us may have seen some pictures of the farm when we occasionally write there.
For those of you who havenāt, it can be described as isolated bliss. No address, at the end of a long one lane road. Growing up weād raise our own horses and bail our own hay. Another thing we would always do is plant a garden. Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and tons more.Ā Getting to do that was always a refreshing and enlightening experience. Getting to see something so beautiful and nutritious grow from just a seed.
Well, Iāve taken what I learned there and applied it every summer since. Recently we built two large raised bed gardens and a small one for herbs. We have tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash and zucchini, basil, thyme, rosemary, sage, cilantro, dill and many more. I love fresh food, all of us in the band do as seen on our Tumblr where our producer Alex Jarvis and I cook up some delicious stuff for the band while we go on writing trips.
Gardening is something I love nerding out on every year. So in celebration of the 116 days of summer here are some pics of our home garden š
Thanks and much love from our Future Thieves family to yours xoxoxoxoxo
