This is one of those pieces that evolved a lot during it’s creation, from figuring out the pose to determining the composition and colors. Like what often happens it differs significantly from what I originally envisioned but I still like how it turned out.
Anyway, if anyone remembers the Tech Humans I’ve done various sketches of, this is the ‘evolved’ version of them. Before they were brains in shells covered in nano machines. Now they have merged their refined technology with their remaining biology, developed new neural pathways, and become something more than human and almost alien.
These are becoming some of my favorite posthumans to draw though it’s a lot of work to do so.
As always comments and critiques are welcome.

“As a Virgo, I hate not being in control of things, and spontaneity is difficult for me in real life. It’s funny, because that’s why I love acting so much. It’s the one space in which I can feel safe being spontaneous, because I’m not myself; I’m someone else. There are no consequences.”

Glad I found time during my vacation to finish this. This is a height comparison of the human species that currently exist in my story concept Centauri. I also updated some current characters and included potential ones for this piece. I talked about them before but I’ll summarize each of them.
Humans: the base species that remained on earth, over 1000 years of global gene flow has resulted in a general blend of physical characteristics. Improved genetic editing also granted humans immunity to most diseases, resistance to higher radiation levels, healthier brains, and an average lifespan of 150 years.
Martians: Some of the first Martian colonists underwent major modifications to better survive the harsh conditions of pre-terraformed Mars. Overtime, they became biologically distinct from earth humans. Their most notable characteristics is their orange skin, higher radiation tolerance, taller broad bodies, robust skeletons, and larger eyes.
Spacemans: These are a human species fully engineered to survive and reproduce in the harshest environments in the outer solar system, including the vacuum of space. Their tough exoskeletons protect them from extreme radiation and temperature changes. Wings and thrusters located on their backs and center of their feet help them move through space and low gravity worlds such as moons. Though they can photosynthesize through their wing membranes, they can consume raw materials such as methane through specialized mouths with byproducts expelled through their thrusters.
Techhumans: A group of radicals who sought higher being, the Techhumans forwent their organic bodies for artificial ones. These new body consist of high tech, protective shells that double as an additonal neuron layer of their biologically enhanced brains covered in a thick layer of nano machines that form into whatever they need. They Stole the dwarf planet Ceres by converting into a starship and venturing into space. Gone for centuries, their current whereabouts are unknown.
As always, comments and critiques are welcome.
