See, the awkward thing with snail OC is the unyeldy flipping shell at the back almost the size of them. So im just, not gonna have an ugly shell like that!
She finna be this fatass, cute-ass african snail with something else on her back.
Still figuring out how to make expressive eyes and mouth with this desing. Neveh made som like this
More engineering and furgonomics type concept art for I Can Fix Him!
Mostly, this one is focused on the setting of Treasure Town, and Team Starbeam's base at Sharpedo Bluff.
The climate there is in the subtropical zone btw! Treasure Town is kind of in the middle of the continent so I see it being fairly warm but not super extremely so. Sometimes it gets a little bit cold, but it doesn't tend to snow, and during the summers it gets pretty hot and they have monsoon kinda weather often.
ALSO I got the idea for spira bread from Jay Eaton's RttS! The spira bread here is a little different, being made with more seaweed/algae than RttS's spira bread, but that's where I got the base idea from! (speaking of, if you like these kind of world building engineering ergonomics speculative biology kind of topics, I highly recommend reading said comic! it's a wonderful read and currently on-going! Here's a link to the comic proper!)
Also if you've never heard of an archimedes' screw/screw pump, it's one of these! They are a kind of pump that can be made with entirely mechanical components, and thus well within the sort of medieval ish setting of PMD!
WIP concept art for tool ergonomics for I Can Fix Him!
I think the thing that brings me closest to connection with humanity is ergonomics. the designing of human made things made to be used by humans, to better interface with the human body and mind. and relatedly I consider it very humanizing (personalizing?) to do this for other beings, because non human sophonts would do this too.
So this will be a major world building angle for I Can Fix Him!; the inclusion of infrastructure and tool design and the designing of tools to be usable by the immense diversity of body shapes and plans and manipulators which pokemon have.
Here's the page from Freefall!
I'd also like to link a page from another of my favorite webcomics, The Book Written By Tiny Paws, wherein one of a band of neolithic sophont rats ponders a hypothetical solution to a problem which they could not solve. That problem was the greivious injury suffered by one of their companions, that resulted in them having to amputate the affected limb due to the unstaunchability of the bleeding. And they wondered, if only they could make needle and thread small enough to sew blood vessels shut. To them, with the technology they had available, that seemed impossible.
But it is not impossible. It is a question which neolithic humans likely asked, observing that blood moved in tiny tubes in the body... what if they could be reconnected? to stop bleeding and keep injured limbs still on without that limb dying and then poisoning the rest of the body as it rotted.
But we have figured out how to do that! That question likely asked in hopeless wishful thinking countless times millennia ago and centuries ago... We have answered it. Through the striving of countless humans one on top of the other like geologic strata, combining all their knowledge like bricks in a house, we have figured it out. We can make the needle and thread small enough to sew blood vessels closed.
(here's the scene! its kinda split across two parts but here you go: part A, and part B. WARNING for some blood and gore (gash type injury))
I really like thinking about how different various forms of media would look in an anthro world full of diverse species.
Rhythm games made by and for arachnids and other creatures with a lot of limbs, far more intensive than the standard - these would often have, sometimes post-launch, a mode for 'normal' species, but some particularly skilled streamers, content creators etc. stay on the arachnid mode just to flex.
(Imagine a centipede absolutely tearing up a really long dance pad and the sheer amount of arrows on the game screen...)
An underground community of Bats and other sensitive-hearing animals, who share music designed to only be heard by those with the right ears. Frequencies most can't comprehend. The community is pretty big, so you have to take their word for it that its good music, right? It's not just a collective ongoing prank, is it?
Movies made by species with worse/different color vision, criticized and beloved for weird palettes, lighting, and other things. Sometimes the colors were deeply considered and intentional, other times it's just how the director normally sees the world anyway.
It'd probably be customary to have some sort of indicator of a person's species next to their name in credits and such, for representation, and to appreciate when a species with unique abilities or challenges partakes in a production. I'm imagining cute little doodled symbols next to names on scrolling movie credits.
Archival and record-keeping becomes even more important when your population's lifespan is so varied (though I imagine 'around human lifespan' to be the default for an anthro world) and there's more diverse perceptions, abilities, etcetera. Additionally important if hibernation carries over into this world - if someone was missing out on all but minimal activity for a huge chunk of the year, it'd definitely become important for them to be able to quickly catch up in the Spring. Podcasts and really long video essays would probably be a hit with hibernators, too.

guys do you think I could play a guitar with claws?
Teeth

being a crotchhead is a disability , because most of normal society isn't built for it , first most of vehicles are prohibited to you due to certain danger you would cause ( the only things you could drive are those trucks in airports that have a large cabin )
secondly any public space that's meant for a lot of people , it would really suck to you , due to being really cramped and your face smashing to the butts of people
third basic thing just not being build for you requiring assistance from other people , like shelves , tables or anything that requires your head to be on your torso
