Last Friday in Bangkok after the elephant excursion I went on a night food tour in Bangkok. I met my guide Jannisha at a train station (which was easy to find but the guide was hard to locate). We took a tour of a local temple Wat Hua Lam Phong temple. She explained the significance of the temple and had me to make a wish and light a lotus candle in my birthday month color (there was a chart and my color was purple). Afterwards we walked to the Patpong Night Market and browsed a bit and left to sample street food (my favorite part). She really knew her food and walked me all around the street to find things I was interested to try. She ordered this seafood dish THAI SPICY! Now I can eat spicy food. This was edible but the kick was WOW! I ate most of it but she warned me to not to eat all the rice. She didn’t want me to fill up. But that was the only way I could eat the spicy hot seafood! LOL I didn’t eat the fried egg though. I also had a fried chicken wing, the sausage with fine noodles on a skewer, mango and sticky rice and Thai ice tea. It was also good. We then walked down some of the streets with bars and strippers and she gave lessons on where to go and what to watch out for when visiting the bars and stripper shows. The try to tip off tourists. We then returned to the market and she explained pricing and how to haggle with the vendors. I learned a lot! She was helpful and we took photos. This was a wonderful evening. #thaifoodtour #withlocals #bangkok #bangkokthailand #funonafridaynight #streetfoodbangkok #streetfoods #trysomethingdifferentandnew #yummy #wathualamphong #wathualamphongtemple_peaceful #wish #lotusflower (at Wat Hua Lamphong) https://www.instagram.com/p/B26RUTpp2vg/?igshid=i8k60okzw6u6
