This delightful green tart is perfect for celebrating St. Patrick's Day! With a buttery crust and a creamy, green-colored filling, it's a festive treat that everyone will love.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed. 1/4 cup powdered sugar. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 cup ice water. 8 ounces cream cheese, softened. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Green food coloring. 1 cup heavy cream. 2 tablespoons powdered sugar. Green sprinkles or decorations optional.
Instructions: Pulse the flour, butter, powdered sugar, and salt in a food processor until the mixture looks like big crumbs. Pulse as you slowly add the ice water until the dough comes together. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes. Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to fit a tart pan. Cut off any extra dough as you press it into the pan. If you want the crust to be a little golden, poke holes in the bottom of it with a fork. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Allow it to totally cool down. Cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract should be mixed together in a bowl until the mixture is smooth. Mix well as you add green food coloring until you get the shade you want. Mix powdered sugar and heavy cream in a different bowl. Whip them together until stiff peaks form. Add the whipped cream and mix it in with the cream cheese until it's all mixed together. Cover the tart crust with the green cream cheese mixture after it has cooled. If you want, you can add green sprinkles or decorations. Put it in the fridge for at least two hours before you serve it. For St. Patrick's Day, cut up your green tart and enjoy it!
