I'm trying to catch a female Riolu, in a Luxury Ball, in my original save file of Pokemon Y...
...and they DON'T exist!
Bulbapedia says they have a 12.5% chance of being female...
...but...
...before seeing a SINGLE female Riolu, I have, in no particular order...
1) Farmed HUNDREDS of Berries whenever I had to leave Route 22 because my False Swipe user ran out of PP.
2) Evolved FOUR female Combee, caught while farming berries, that I tossed in my party, figuring that if I knocked-out everything that's not a female Riolu I could get them a HANDFUL of levels, into Vespiquen...
3) Ran into Zapdos, EIGHT TIMES...
4) Friendship Evolved an Azurill to Marill to Azumarill, a Budew to Roselia, an Eevee to Espeon & an Eevee to Umbreon...
5) Leveled up 2 Ralts into Kirlia...and then further leveled up the female one into a Gardevoir...
6) Evolved a newly hatched Chespin into a Quilladin...
7) Leveled up a freshly caught, lv11, False Swipe, Honedge into Doublade
&
8) Found and Caught a SHINY DUNSPARCE!

Why are female Riolu RARER than SHINIES!?
I am officially PISSED! I checked & the odds of finding a female Riolu are only 1 in 200, where as the odds of finding a Shiny Dunsparce are 1 in 89,000!
Dunsparce was already in my "Least Favorite" list of Pokemon ever since I first played Gen 2 back when it came out, but after this, its ONLY competition for my #1 Least Favorite Pokemon, is female Riolu!
-TWO DAYS LATER-
BUT this tale has a...ending. After two 8+ hours days, my dumbass remembered that "cute charm" exists and
MY QUEST IS OVER!
And female Riolu is Officially my Least Liked Pokemon EVER!!
FUCK THIS THING!!!
I've never battled competitively but I will migrate this Riolu to the latest games, just to take up Competitive Battling and use it specifically on every one of my teams FOREVER so it can know a fraction of my suffering!

February last year I started a Platinum Shinylocke, nicknaming them portmanteau's of my friends and the pokemons names (because I'm so lucky to have such good friends) and heres all my catches so far.
Piplup was my first and is named after my friend who helped me with soft resetting. (Nickname changed to Empolizzy since, cause it sounds SO much better!)
13 hours later on Route 201 I forgot to get a picture of my Starly and she's a Staravia now. Named after a cocktail my friend made is very proud of.
Pokemon 3 was my Shinx, now Luxio. He took a more expected 170 odd hours to find on route 202
I'm going to come back to route 203 when I have a rod to look for Psyduck (love that blue) so next up route wise was Geodude in Oreburgh Gate, named after my oldest friend.
Chronological next was MarcHamp in Route 207, still averaging 170 hours.
480 hours later I'm finally ready to battle the first gym!! And the second gym, because Cut makes it a lot easier to run backwards and forwards from the Old Chateau where I'm hunting Rotom and Floaroma Meadow where I'm honey tree hunting Heracross. I then found out that if I save in front of Drifloon it doesn't go away no matter what day it is, so "10 hours" after the first gym.

Here's my 2026 Shiny Bingo Board!, its more or less a continuation of previous years, with the addition of some ZA shinies, Arcanine and Lunala, which would be my first lock removal hunt excitingly enough!
theres a lot of firsts here, my reclaim in kyorgre, first shiny(s) in FrLg, and also my first in gen 5, along side being the start to both Sinnoh, Kanto and Unova DTQ, while also being the end to my Johto DTQ, im not expecting to reach all the targets, but i think it would be fun

I know this poll will definitely have weird results because we'll have 1/512 masuda method/sandwich outbreak hunters taking the same poll as old school 1/8192 hunters from gens 2-5 so the options are a bit weird but this is my best solution but who knows
