We're talking about two people who are both desperate for attention, come on, It was definitely her who leaked this information. Knowing her and how she acts, I'm 100% sure it was her. As soon as she found out she was pregnant, she waited a bit and then released the info. Come on, she was already dropping hints at the Michael Kors event, running her hand over her belly, taking photos with her hand around her stomach. Then the same thing at PFW, doing the exact same thing, constantly touching her belly. SHE was already signaling that she was pregnant. SHE was doing everything possible for people to find out about the pregnancy. I'm totally sure it was her who leaked the information. They said it wasn't confirmed, but that was already a confirmation of the pregnancy. As soon as the reports came out saying they were expecting their first baby together, but that it still hadn't been confirmed by either of them or their team, I already assumed it was real.
I agree. We're talking about two people who clearly know how to generate attention. The difference is that, in my opinion, she's looking for attention any way, shape, or form she can get it, while he seems to want attention when he has something to promote or something he wants to shift the conversation away from.
Do I know she leaked it to TMZ? I don't know that. But I do think someone close to them, if not one of them directly, leaked it.
What I find interesting is this: why TMZ? Why not People or another more reputable outlet when this could have been a polished announcement? Maybe because the audience for this story is actually much smaller than people think. Outside of their fandom, very few people genuinely care.
At the end of the day, I think they're both attention seeking, just in different ways.
Personally, I think he likes the attention, whether it's good or bad. I also think he likes to pretend he doesn't, while blaming other people for the very thing he has helped create and enable.
His fandom absolutely has issues. The parasocial behavior is real, and some fans cross lines they never should. But he also benefits from that attention. You can't cultivate a public image, participate in publicity when it suits you, and then act like you're completely removed from the machine. At some point, you have to acknowledge your own role in creating and maintaining it.
