I met up with so many of my Canaria friends... also, there were some people that walked up to me and asked me if I was Rui-san, and they said that they heard about me from Canaria bartenders/other customers, which is... so embarrassing, I don’t know what to do... I met so many new people because of it though...!

Before amu sang this, he introduced himself and welcomed everyone. He sounded so awkward and nervous, and he told us that he really didn’t want to do an MC part, but clear said he needs to, to which he said “uso~n”, which, was adorable. He said he doesn’t participate in many lives, so he’s still not used to talking to crowds, but he’s glad clear invited him again!

Holy shit, amu. When the music started playing, I knew it was Jougen, and I didn’t think his voice would fit the song... but it does, and I’m ruined. I know it’s on one of your Mu albums, but I haven’t been able to listen to my copies just yet since I don’t have a CD player, but, just... holy shit, amu.

When clear said there was a secret guest, I knew it had to be nero. When he called for nero to come out, nero made this... really weird moan sound... and came out... www

clear said that nero’s fans told him that he sang this at his one man in June, and that it was really, really good... so clear asked him if he could sing it for his TOH solo! nero said it was his first time hearing about this, and got super embarrassed because clear kept saying nero’s fans were like “clear-san, clear-san, did you hear, nero-san’s Kataomoi is so good, it’s really, really good”.

nero introduced this song as the song that got him into utattemita 8 years ago, and it’s him and clear’s signature utattemita. It was so cute, he was thanking clear so much for bringing him into nicodou...

Sarishinohara / amu, Yuuku

Okay, everyone knows Sarishinohara is my favorite song, so of course, when they introduced this, I cried. But that’s literally... not all. 

They introduced this song... in a way I would have never dreamed of. They said that they were actually stuck on what song to sing (they already chose another, which was for the second portion), but it wasn’t until late June that they decided to sing Sarishinohara together, because... a customer requested it on a day they were both working in Canaria, and that customer was so moved that they cried. And that’s when they decided.

Yeah.

... I didn’t expect this at all. When Yuuku left the stage, amu also stood up, and when clear got close to him, he just... bowed... and clear bowed back... they exchanged no words... and the music started playing.

The last time I saw amu at Canaria, he was humming Fixer, and I was wondering why... I was going to ask him if he was planning on uploading Fixer, but once the musicians started playing the chords... I understood. amu learned Fixer... for this live... God, it was fucking rude as hell when I realized it. Their harmonies were so lethal. clear singing the melody, amu singing the upper harmony, and Yuuku singing the lower harmony... what the hell.

OKAY THIS WAS ACTUALLY THE CUTEST. They were all dancing around and just having a fun time... amu took Soraru and Ribs’s part, clear took Kashitarou’s part, and Yuuku took Lon’s part! Their ad libs were so godly, wow... amu and Yuuku’s harmonies as well... they’re all so much.

Once everyone left the stage, clear said that there would be another TOH in October, and it would be cosplay themed... Everyone got super excited, wondering what the costumes would be...

After the first portion:

I was just standing around, but I didn’t realize... that amu was in front of me. He came up to me and said “hi Rui-san!” I greeted him back. He asked me if I was alone, and I said yeah, but during the second portion, I would have a friend from England with me, and he said he was happy I’m going to watch the second portion too! I told him that he sang Fixer really well, and he was surprised, and kept asking me “really? really?!” and I said yeah, and I asked him when he would upload it. He said “Huh, I wonder when?~” and I got mad at him for baiting me. He then asked me if I got alcohol with my drink ticket, and I said of course, and he asked me if it was strong, and I said, I wish, to which he laughed a lot at. Someone passing by questioned “eh, strong?” and he just straight up outed me to someone I didn’t know, saying “Rui-san only drinks strong drinks”. Everyone around us started laughing (because so many people from Canaria went... sweats) and I told him that it’s so embarrassing. Everyone was reassuring me that it was okay, it’s really fun to watch, and I just... www. There was a line behind me to talk to amu, so I said I’ll talk to him again later!

I then went to clear’s line, and I ended up buying two more CDs... I talked to clear, and he was like, “Rui-chan, you’re leaving soon aren’t you...” and I said that I was, and that TOH was my last live before going back home, and he said he hopes I had a lot of fun during the first portion, and that he hopes I have a lot of fun during the second portion (I’m happy he remembered I was going to both parts;;). He said that his lives and Canaria will get so quiet and lonely without me, and I said I’m going to miss him a lot, and he said he hopes I come back to Japan soon enough, because he’ll miss me too... 

Also his cologne is always so strong, whenever he holds my hands, you can just... smell it, so strongly. Even after several washes, it’s still there. What cologne do you u s e, clear.

Again, the lines were just so long, so clear took my hands and told me to enjoy the second portion, and I said I would. He smiled at me, and let go, and I went over to talk to nero.

It was... actually my first time talking to nero. I’ve seen him so much, but I always beeline to clear... I told him otsukare, and that I really loved his Kataomoi, and he said that he was glad! I asked him if I could get a signature from him, and he gave me one;; I was a little nervous so I couldn’t properly get a page from my notebook from him, but he tried looking over my shoulder to see what was in my notebook, www. He’s so cute. After he gave me a signature, I told him that I wanted to talk to him more, but my Japanese is so bad... and he said that no, it really isn’t, and that I should have more confidence because it’s really good... 

He then pointed out my Totoro backpack and said it was really cute, and I asked him if he wanted to try it on, and he took it from me and wore it. He was pretending to walk around with it, and he started laughing. I asked him what was wrong, and he said that if he ever went out of the venue with it on, the police would definitely stop and ask him questions, and probably arrest him, and I couldn’t stop laughing. Other people around him were laughing as well, and I thanked him for talking to me, and he smiled so warmly to me. He thanked me for letting him use my Totoro backpack, and I said no problem~

After that, I went to go talk to Wing! She and another person were talking about Canaria, and Wing and I told them about all the adventures I have of her, and everyone else, trying to get me drunk, but it never happens, and the other person was so scared of me and my drinking capacity...

After talking to everyone, I decided to go get food while waiting for Yanny to arrive!

When they were getting on stage, it was amu first, then clear, then Yuuku... they were all grabbing their mics, but when Yuuku grabbed his mic, he knocked over the mic basket and he didn’t even notice until a bunch of us up front told him the basket fell over, so he scurried over and picked it up really fast, and when he got back next to clear, clear said he would tell his mom on him.

It... was so emotive... It was so perfect... The raw emotion was just too much for me that I was crying nonstop...

clear didn’t want to break the atmosphere Yuuku set up, so he went right into singing... and god, this didn’t help at all with my crying. The whole time, I was just thinking... thank you, thank you so much for everything, for being in my life for so long. Even if I still hurt now, there’s still that courage inside me that wants to keep living just so I can hear you sing more and more. 

... I really love clear.

rain stops, good-bye / amu

amu revealed that his hometown is actually... Okinawa. Which is huge, because... a lot of information about amu is really... unknown... In some interviews, when they ask him for his hometown, he just says “over there”... He talked about how it was like growing up there, especially during typhoon season because TOH was actually... during a typhoon. 

But Okinawa... that’s really unexpected, honestly? I always thought Kansai, but...

amu introduced this song saying that because it’s raining like a typhoon is outside (to which everyone said that there is a typhoon going outside...), he’ll sing this to make the rain stop.

Gossip / Yuuku

Yuuku did the same as amu, and kept saying that it was like a typhoon outside, and he had to correct him about it too... he then talked about how so many times where he had a live, there was a typhoon that day as well, so people started calling him a 台風男... He said he can’t even deny it because it’s true...

Kuroneko / clear

clear said that this is one of his favorite Vocaloid songs, and that we should all listen to it on nicodou, and also kept saying he sang it on his third album, Reunite... that we can still get at various Tower Records... so if we don’t have it yet... we should go buy it...

Jougen no Tsuki / nero

When clear called nero out this time, he just... made the weirdest noise... it was... like I don’t even know how to describe it, it was just... strange. We were all like... is nero-san okay...

... when nero got on stage though, he and clear started talking about Totoro... I swear, it was because of my backpack, I swear to god it was my backpack, because nero noticed I was in the front row and he smiled at me when I pointed to my backpack when they started talking about Totoro... they started talking about the point in the movie where Totoro makes the rain stop, and he wishes someone could do that to make the rain stop...

Queen of Hearts / clear, nero

When clear got back on stage, they said that he’s sure everyone knows that he and nero are childhood friends, and they just talked about it a bit. They said they met in middle school, and that they because friends really fast. They would play outside a lot, and nero said he would always tell clear to do good, but clear then got sarcastic and said that he was always a good kid, and nero questioned if he was still a good kid, and clear said “for the most part”...

I think I found where I get my personality traits from... 

366 Days / clear, Yuuku

When Yuuku came out, clear said that Totoro came out, and they all just kept calling him Totoro while Wing played the Totoro theme while he just, stumbled on stage... it was really cute...

Before the song started, clear asked Yuuku how he was enjoying TOH, and Yuuku said he was having so much fun. He said he didn’t expect to perform with amu, let alone be friends with him, and clear said that this was the first time he ever heard about this, so Yuuku continued on.

He said that when he saw the new staff announcements come in for April, he questioned if the “amu” listed was the amu. He said he admired amu a lot before, so working with him, and finally performing with him, it’s been really fun.

They then started talking about Canaria, and how they recently went on a trip to the ocean recently. Apparently clear was the one driving the car, and they talked about the Peyang Gigamax yakisoba... Apparently Yuuku, Masaya (he’s another Canaria bartender, as well a CLEANERO staff member), and Lemo all tried it during the vacation, and they all apparently finished their servings... Wing couldn’t go on vacation with them, and so Yuuku and Wing decided to eat it on a twitcast earlier last week, and Yuuku said Wing finished her’s pretty fast, but he was so close to crying at the very last bite. He said he wouldn’t do it ever again, it’s something that people should only do once. clear said he didn’t do it yet, but Yuuku... then said that if he wants to do it, they should do it together, and clear was like “didn’t you just say you wouldn’t do it again?” Yuuku got embarrassed and apologized for being an idiot, and fu-rin hit the triangle on his percussion set.

They then started talking about the triangle, and Yuuku said that the triangle is so fun, and motioned in a triangular shape and said “ding” 3 times, but everyone was like “You’re wrong...” and clear had to correct him that there’s a corner on the triangle that’s open so you couldn’t hit it three times... Yuuku then turned behind him and saw that a corner was open and he apologized for being an idiot again... He’s so... dumb... WWWW... 

After his apology, they finally started singing, but both of them apologized for breaking the mood, saying that their stupidity won’t match what they were going to sing next... 

Yuuku called himself and clear “Peyang and Totoro” before actually singing properly...

HARMONIES... H A R M O N I E S... amu and Yuuku make a good combination, they really do... amu’s high notes plus Yuuku’s low notes... put it together with their incredible harmonization skills, and you get... perfection...

Risky Game / clear, amu

clear and amu... talk so much, there were so many times where they were about to introduce the song, but then someone would bring something up AND THEN THEY WOULD TALK ABOUT IT FOR ANOTHER 5 MINUTES. 

When clear got on stage, he said hi to amu, but amu didn’t say anything and clear got mad saying that he should say something back, and amu just. Straight up roasted him. He said “hao~” and CLEAR GOT SO EMBARRASSED.

He explained to the audience that for a little bit like, 8-9 years ago, whenever he uploaded something, the description would start with “hao~” and even though he never said it at lives, he would be greeted by fans like that, and it was super embarrassing. He said he doesn’t even remember why he did it in the first place. 

A fan in the crowd called out, saying “what about ‘kurukuru’?!” and clear then went on to explaining how fans would make him spin around once before saying “hao”, like it was a character change. Everyone started saying they wanted to see it again, and clear was so reluctant, but he ended spinning around, and in a deep voice, said “hao” and amu couldn’t stop laughing.

clear then took his seat, and he immediately asked if amu was free in October, and we all knew what that meant. With clear’s announcement earlier that TOH vol. 3 would be in October, and it would be Halloween themed, it meant that he was inviting amu to perform again. All of us gasped, and amu was... very confused, he must have heard that there was a third TOH, but I guess he didn’t know he would be invited to it again, so his raw reactions were just, so much for my heart. clear then took a seat next to him after amu said he would be available, and clear just looked so happy~

amu always says he doesn’t know how to sing the more recent songs, but he’s been listening to clear’s Fixer a lot lately and he fell for the song, and he said he’ll upload it for his late 10th anniversary upload! clear was like “oh, you fell for my Fixer?~” and amu was like “I didn’t say that, I said the song,” and clear looked so offended WWWW.

clear and amu then just... WENT ON TO ROASTING EVERYONE. They thought it would be fun to rank who the dumbest one is, and they said they’re all pretty dumb. THEY JUST KEPT GOING. amu talked about how he was so nervous to meet Yuuku the first time, so he asked one of the other bartenders, Kyosuke, about him, and Kyosuke called him “いいバカ”, and Yuuku then popped his head out of the door from backstage, and everyone just started laughing. amu then said that after a few hours of being with Yuuku on shift, he finally understood what Kyosuke was saying, and Yuuku just kept making faces to everyone on stage and in the crowd. clear then went on to roasting nero, saying that nero’s so ikemen, but he’s so dumb, that it’s just a waste, AND THEN RIGHT BEHIND YUUKU, NERO STARTED POKING HIS HEAD OUT FROM BACKSTAGE AND THEY BOTH WERE JUST MAKING FACES.

clear talked about how “ii baka” really suited Yuuku a lot, and then recalled when they first met at I-Star. Apparently, clear was just hanging out on a couch in the morning, and Yuuku went up to him and introduced himself, but instead of saying good morning, he said good afternoon, and he started to panic? But they apparently got so close really fast that the month after, clear invited him to work at Canaria. He recalled another time where Yuuku literally came to his house at 3-4 in the morning to give him something, and Yuuku said he didn’t realize that he could’ve just waited for a reasonable hour to come to give it to him. But clear then fondly said that Yuuku’s idiocy is something he really likes about him, and everyone was just, touched.

Fixer / clear, amu, Yuuku

Just like the first portion, clear called for nero to come out so we can take pictures together before the last song. But as nero was coming on stage, Wing started to play the Totoro theme, and nero grabbed his microphone and started singing along, but it was very... n o i s y. clear asked him who he was, and nero said he was trying to mimic Meychan.

When everyone left the stage, clear was commenting that the second portion is usually quieter than the first portion, but in the second portion this time around, they were just... messing around so much, so it was very strange. (But the messing around was just too much fun).

After the second portion:

So, Yanny and I were just, crying over the setlist and how fun it was, and everyone started getting lined up to talk to everyone again, and I just.... had to do something.

I dragged Yanny to Wing, and introduced her to Wing as my friend. Yanny gave her a fan letter, and I helped her talk to Wing. Wing gave her a hug after receiving the letter... It was so cute. I told Wing that Yanny was also a pianist, and Wing asked if she wanted to play right now, and we kind of just looked at each other like, is this actually going to happen. I said I would sing along with whatever Yanny plays, and Wing was like “okay!” and just... escorted us to the piano. Yanny chose Lemon, and played the melody and a bass line, and Wing then... started playing to upper harmonies...

After one verse and a chorus, Wing thanked us and Yanny was just... paralyzed, www. She didn’t know what to feel--

When then got in line to talk to amu, because, I did tell him I would bring a friend...! Yanny gave him a fan letter! I asked him if he really meant what he said up on stage, that he’ll upload Fixer soon, and he said he will! I asked exactly when, and he said when his cold is gone, which it almost is... I’m so excited.

amu asked me to translate for him and Yanny, which I did. We just talked about a lot of things, and amu said that he’s been learning a lot of English from me at Canaria, which I wanted to scream at because, amutan... are you really learning English from me... He said that he wants me to bring Yanny to Canaria, and I asked him if he knew when the schedule would be out, and he said that it should be out the day after (which it was, sasuga bartender...). He said he’ll be waiting for us~

I told him I wanted to stay longer in Japan, and he just... straight up told me to run away (”逃げて”)... amu, your ideas are getting out of hand--

ALSO AMU ROASTED ME AND CALLED ME 雨女 LIKE I DON’T BRING THE RAIN, THAT’S YUUKU, HE’S THE 台風男, HE LITERALLY SAID SO.

(I feel like we were just talking so much that I... can’t even recall all the things we talked about... So I’ll just leave it at this...)

The line for amu was getting long, so I said we’ll see him soon, and we left to go see Yuuku. His line was short, but he talks so much to his fans, that it just, went by really slowly... When it was our turn, I didn’t even realize, until he called out “HEY!!!” AND JUST STARTED? DANCING? FUCKING AROUND? AND I STARTED DOING THE SAME THING AND STARTED YELLING “HEY!!!” BACK AT HIM AND WE WERE JUST DOING IT SO MUCH AND JUST DANCING AROUND? It just went on for a while too, until we noticed that nero was just... watching us. I invited nero to join us, but all he did was stick out his leg in our direction and asked if it was enough. Yuuku said “one more time!” and WE JUST STARTED DOING IT AGAIN, JUST, SCREAMING HEY AND BEING IDIOTS...

People were telling me that they could see my underwear/spandex whenever I kicked my leg up high, yet I kept doing it anyway, and nero had to cover his eyes, it was so b a d, I literally just met nero a couple of hours earlier and he saw me like that... oh well, I wouldn’t be surprised if he already knew about me before I talked to him, let’s be real...

I introduced Yanny to him (and Yanny gave him a fan letter as well), and told him we would visit him on the 30th at Canaria, and he said that he’ll be waiting for us~ I really don’t know remember what else we talked about, but he did give me this really cute signature in my notebook (he drew a cat www) and we took pictures together, which was so nice;;

(I felt his head press against mine when we took our picture together, that’s how close we were, I died.)

The venue was about to close and Masaya had everyone leave so they could clean up, but he let us go give clear Yanny’s fan letter, but we had to make it quick. I introduced Yanny to clear, and clear was so happy to meet another fan... he shook Yanny’s hand, and he shook my hands again and said he hopes to see us again soon, and we had to rush on out (we were the last ones there)...

So on the 6th, I had to move out of my dormitory, and my flight back to the US was on the 9th, so I stayed at a friend’s house in Shinjuku for a couple of days. He wasn’t back from work yet that day, so I left my suitcases in front of his apartment, but I didn’t want to leave my giant Popplio pushie, so I brought him with me. I just walked in... with a huge Popplio plushie in hand...

When I sat down, amu was like “Ah, 3 more days huh...” ... the past couple of times I went, he was counting down as well, he would say like, 15 more days, 5 more days, etc... Like, him counting down, is it because he’ll get lonely too, I wondered. 

Since it was a Monday night, not many people were there, but I still sat close by another customer whom I’ve met before, her name is Acchan! We started getting into a big conversation about Kogeinu Housoukyoku, and how he’s been getting a lot of kosan utaite on each housou, and how in general, 2018 has been a big comeback year for so many people. We then started talking about a certain Soundhouse no Naka no Hito, and we revealed who it was to amu.

However, amu wasn’t surprised at all. He said that that particular person has been the president of Soundhouse ever since his utaite days; other utaites knew so, but it wasn’t really public information. We were so shocked, it’s been a mystery the whole time for us viewers... The reveal on Week 14′s broadcast with Dasoku, Mi-chan, and Asamaru was so much for us. 

He also said that he’s a little lonely; him and Koge are friends, so he’s waiting for his invite onto Kogehousou. (I personally think he’ll try to get him and clear together, so that he can get all of PointFive(.5) at the very least! But in the DMA cast they were all talking about having a broadcast where all 5 of them come, so hopefully that happens as well!!)

I was talking to Acchan, and she was like “Oh, Rui-chan, you’re a clear oshi, right?” to which I responded yes, I am! amu frowned slightly, and we asked him what was wrong, and he said that he’s jealous of clear. We asked him why, and he said that it’s because he’s my number one oshi; he wants to be my number one. Acchan was a little shocked by his answer, and quickly followed up, saying that I definitely love amu a lot too, saying that if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be visiting him so much, or comment on his streams all the time. He still pouted, and then someone else ordered another drink, so he went to make the drink.

... honestly, I was very surprised when he said he was jealous of clear... Acchan is a HUGE fan of amu and even she was taken aback, I doubt she hears him say things like that often... If he truly is jealous of clear, my heart...

When he came back, we were talking about his game streams, and amu then confessed that he pays attention to my comments on his streams. Whenever I comment hello, he makes note to throw in some English (which I had already picked up, I went to listen to his casts without saying hello, and he just spoke Japanese the whole time) for me, which was... so much to take in. He also said that he noticed that a lot of times, towards the end, I don’t comment “otsukare”, and he asked me if it’s because I fall asleep. I said yeah, and that it’s embarrassing that he noticed, and he said of course he noticed.

... amutan, do you even hear what you say sometimes, my heart was so full when he said that.

Because crepes were a special for fu-ring day, I wanted to order it! Wing was talking about it before on cast too, so I really wanted it. I ordered it, and amu immediately outed me. “Rui-san is having something other than alcohol?!” he exclaimed, and Wing laughed. I said I order food sometimes!! But it’s usually me drinking, and he said he’s so shocked and confused, he was being so overdramatic HAHAHA.

The whole night, Wing and amu were trying to get Acchan to do a shot, and she finally caved in, and ordered a shot for her, Wing, and amu. She said she’s not strong, so Wing made her a really weak shot. amu and Wing are both apparently strong, so they did shots of like... I think it was whiskey? I just remember it was 40% alcohol. amu made the most disgusting face, he didn’t like the taste at all, and Wing was really surprised, she liked the taste.

After a little bit, Wing was starting to become more chatty, and instead of saying “ショット” (shotto) she said “ショッポ” (shoppo), and I kept asking her if she was drunk, and she told me to shut up playfully and I started laughing nonstop, I definitely wasn’t expecting it. She said she wasn’t drunk, she said she had just “become fun” (楽しくなった). I couldn’t stop laughing at her telling me to shut up.

amu kept looking at me funny, and so I started glaring at him. He... then, suddenly... told me to square up, and I started to scream. For those of you who don’t know, it’s been my mission to teach amu slang, and I’ve been fixated on teaching him “square up” so he can use it when he plays on the American servers for PUBG. When he finally said it without me telling him he should use, it, I just started yelling that I was so happy (in English). amu started laughing at me and asked me “Are you happy? Are you happy?~” and I said yes. He asked me if it was my mission to teach him weird English and I said yes, and he started laughing even more. He said that he was really happy to learn weird English from me and he hope I’ll keep teaching him more. WWWW

.. And so I taught him “arigathanks gozaimuch” and he got super upset. He was like “don’t mix Japanese and English together like that” and I couldn’t stop laughing.

fu-rin came back, and amu was talking about his jinbei, and amu asked me if I have a yukata. I told him I do, it’s just that I left it in Chicago... luckily I had my iPod with me, so I showed him a picture from 5 years ago, when I had gotten my yukata. He started looking at the picture really closely, and said I changed so much in 5 years, mentioning how my hair was so different compared to now, and my height. He asked me what my height was at the time, and I said I think I was around 170cm, and now I’m 176cm. amu told me to give him some of my height, and I started laughing, and lifted up my leg. I asked him how much he wants me to cut off, and when I motioned to my knee, he said that that’s good enough. I joked and said I’ll cut at my knees, and give him my legs, and fu-rin was just laughing at our nonsense.

Tomo saw my plushie when he came in, and he was like "oh...?" And I told him it's the Pokémon “Ashimari”. He kinda just stood in front of it and just looked at it in awe and just, quietly, in English, was like "Hi, Ashimari..." and started waving hi to my plushie. It was... honestly the cutest thing. Tomo-san is honestly the cutest Canaria bartender because he’s just so... awkward and cute, I love him.

When it was time for me to go, amu was softly singing Honno Sukoshi no Sayonara, which hurt so much... Everyone in the bar was so quiet... 

Walking out the door, I just saw Wing, Tomo, and fu-rin’s sad faces... When the door was closing, I heard Wing explaining to another customer that it was my last day, since I was going back to America...

When amu was walking me to the elevator, I was telling him that finally meeting him really was a dream come true, and I thanked him for all the memories we made and all the laughs we shared.

At TOH, he told me and Yanny that he doesn't like giving hugs... but when the elevator came, he held out his hand, so I thought he was going to shake my hand, but then he pulled me into a hug, and said that he'll be waiting. He said it doesn't matter how long, he'll wait for me to come back. I couldn't stop crying...

His hug was so nice... I couldn’t stop crying all night, and just thinking about it now still make my heart hurt.

I’m really going to miss that place, and all the bartenders. It’s been a wild ride, and in the end, I’ve really made an impression on all the bartenders and customers I’ve met.

Also, I’ve noticed a lot more people call me Rui-chan now.

clear, Wing, Tomo, and Masaya call me Rui-chan.

amu and Yuuku call me Rui-chan to other customers, but Rui-san when talking to me.

Ryo calls me just Rui.

And everyone else calls me Rui-san.
