1. binding is more restricting then tape and doesnt always work on big chests i would recommend spectrum outfitters binders theyre the softest and have the best fit(thats of course a generalization) but gc2b works to. gc2b has problems with digging in more then others and bad manufacturing quality i have solutions for that below. heres where you get free binders

2. this is a tutorial for altering and for repairing binders it explains where and how to alter the binder so it doesnt dig in on the bottom of the armholes or at the bottom of the binder on your belly or bottom ribs. and the repairing guide goes over how fix the binders if they come apart or the stitching is off and needs to be fixed.

3. now for things to avoid. binders off amazon, binders for cosplay that are cheaply made, the binders that have clips or zippers. the reasons why is you want a binder that isnt made of cheap materials because it wont stretch out as much as the other with you as you breathe and move making them unsafe. also same with the clips or zippers if they need to be clipped around you or zipper up to even get them on then theres not enough room for you to breathe there.

4. remember if you dont look flat enough with a binder or it looks like a push up bra or a big lump in the center of your chest then then binders dont work for you, going a smaller size wont bind you more itll just hurt. id switch to tape, its always a good option that wont put pressure on your ribs and chest and can bind any size chest as long as you know how to.

5. for washing its best to wash binders by hand in the sink swirl and rub them then let them soak like this but if you cant do that you can use a machine on delicate or handwash(if youre going to do this with a gc2b binder id recommend reinforcing it first) you can also wash it in a pillowcase or mesh bag to be extra careful

6. no matter how you wash your binder dont put it in the dryer this makes it shrink and makes it way more likely to come apart. hang the binder to dry and if you have it use a dehumidifier especially in more hot and humid places.

edit i used to have a massive list comparing the big three, gc2b spectrum outfitters and underworks. i dont know where my list went but ill list off what was on there. underworks (these were made for intersex men with breasts, that is not why these are so rough quality and i will not tolerate intersexism.) pros: the tightest bind cons: uncomfortable, scratchy fabric unbearably tight and scratchy for most people especially impossible for anyone with sensory disorders. a history of bruising ribs and causing injury.

gc2b pros: second tightest bind. the tightest but still safest bind. not as much as a sensory nightmare as underworks. cons: this binder digs in alot especially around the underboob. this binder is known for having bad coverage leaving underboob and sideboob out and digging into them. the quality has also gone down over the years and after couple years the binder stitching will disintegrate.

spectrum outfitters pros: the most comfortable binder. the softest fabric. the most realistic looking binder. the best binder for big chests. the best binder for sensitive skin and sensory disorders or sensory issues. cons: this one binds the least out of all three but its not by alot and it still binds very well
