Summary:

Another dinner at Angelo's. Is it a date yet? Turn John over, he’s done on this side.
“You yourself are phenomenal at learning and understanding music, of a far greater variety than I’ve ever tried to. And you seem to be good at all of it. I … I did my homework too, listened to your film hits, and—” he pauses, uncertain how to phrase the next bit.
“And what?” I’m surprisingly apprehensive. His good opinion means a lot, given my as-yet unconfessed obsession with him. As a player. As a player.
“You’re versatile. You don’t have tics, or a sound profile you impose on every piece. You’re—it’s like you’re translucent.” Almost the opposite of what he, as a prominent soloist, is expected to be.
“That’s high praise. Thank you. I don’t want to shape the score, or dominate it. I want to channel it. Serve it.”
He puts down his fork. Then: “You, John, are more unique than rare.”

This fanbinding was for the raffle winner Wysie, who chose one of her favourite BTS fanfics by redpangur. I've basically got no idea about this fandom except that it's huge and there are many different pairings. 😅
Wysie told me some of her favourite scenes and I also checked out the comments on the first chapter to get a feel for it and if there was something that stood out. And lo and behold, a pomegranate has an important part in the first chapter, so I ran with that. 😁
I used the pomegranate image for the case design and since Wysie loved the gorgeous "Solar Flare" design by @chubsonthemoon I took a bit of inspiration from it and let the pomegranate span the whole case, as far as that was possible.
There are many details in this book using this theme, like the title page and the chapter headers. There's also several graphics I did, which wasn't so easy because I had to make sure that it actually were the two main protagonists on the pictires, and people on Pinterest aren't great at tagging reliably. XD
There's also several passages with text messages in this fic and this time I decided t colour code them. I think I really like this as it makes for good structure.
I think this bind came out quite well. I took me longer than originally planned until it was finally finished, but at least I'm very pleased with it.

I am very happy to share my latest Fic, Dial V for Vampire!
This was my creation for the @fandomtrumpshate auction 2025, which is admittedly a little late. But better late than never! IReallyNeedMoreTea asked to see some vampire shenanigans with our Ineffables and I was happy to oblige. She has also been awesome dealing with me and my writer’s block this last year.
I’m so happy to finally share this with you all. (It’s almost longer than my entire word count on AO3 for 2025) and I’m happy to have finished in time to join this year’s auction. Stay posted!
