Emma was used to the midnight calls from people in town, that wasn’t what fazed her when she opened her door one night to find a bloodied body on her doorstep. What had bothered her was the fact that it was Avery, the fellow witch being someone she respected, liked even despite what the witch had gone through lingering in the brunette’s mind even as the weeks passed on from her literal brush with Avery’s past. “What happened?” she asked softly as she opened the door wide enough for Avery to pass through and she indicated for the woman to head down the stairs to the basement. The woman’s excuses weren’t uncommon either and she found herself rolling her yes before indicating to the chair. “They all are.” she muttered as she stepped forward and winced as she saw the wound, “That’s more then a flesh wound, who the hell did this to you?”
