Froyo needs to make a comeback!!

A refreshing and delightful combination of sweet and tangy plum sorbet served with crisp and aromatic rosemary shortbread cookies. Perfect for a summer treat or any time you're craving a fruity dessert with a twist.

Ingredients: 4 cups ripe plums, pitted and chopped. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup water. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced. 1/4 cup powdered sugar. 1/4 teaspoon salt.

Instructions: Put chopped plums, granulated sugar, water, lemon juice, and chopped rosemary in a saucepan. For about 10 minutes, stir the mixture every now and then over medium-low heat until the plums are soft and the sugar is gone. To cool down, take it off the heat and let it sit where it is. Put the mixture in a blender and blend it until it's smooth. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and pour the mixture into an ice cream maker. Churn it until it gets the consistency of sorbet. While that is going on, heat the oven to 350F 175C. Dice the cold butter into small pieces and pulse them with powdered sugar, salt, and flour in a food processor until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Roll the dough into a ball, cover it with plastic wrap, and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes. On a floured surface, roll the dough out to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters and put them on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. For 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. Before you serve the cookies with the plum sorbet, let them cool all the way down.

This recipe for Italian ice cream makes a cool, fruity treat that is great for hot summer days. You can make a delicious dessert that is packed full of flavor with just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients: 4 cups fresh fruit strawberries, peaches, or lemons. 1 cup water. 1 cup sugar. 1/4 cup lemon juice if using strawberries or peaches.

Instructions: Clean the fruit and take out any stems or pits to get it ready. Use a blender to blend the fruit until it is smooth. Sugar and water should be mixed in a saucepan. Stir as you bring it to a boil until the sugar is gone. Take the sugar syrup off the heat and let it cool down all the way. In a large bowl, mix the fruit puree, sugar syrup, and lemon juice, if using. Put the mix in a shallow dish and freeze it for an hour. After an hour, scrape the mixture with a fork to get rid of any ice crystals. If you want to make the mixture completely frozen and slushy, put the dish back in the freezer and scrape it again every 30 minutes. Serve the ice cream in cones or cups, and enjoy!
