North also made a Spotted and Thistle map with the song, Mr Pudge, just a bit after Spottedleafs Heart came out. It makes fun of the relationship and is very lighthearted despite the source material, but there are no warnings or acknowledgements of the real reason why the ship is bad. They also used a song for their Senpai, Notice Me map with Ashfur that includes the r slur near the end. Neither of this have been addressed. I used to be a big fan of them and their maps but looking back at some of their other ones it just feels bad.

Also, just a genuine question: Isn't Ivypool and Hawkfrost not just a abusive relationship but also a p*do relationship? Like, don't they meet when Ivy is a brand new apprentice? Or was she an adult? I've never supported the ship but the map call becomes a lot worse when you think that they literally meet when she was a child.

yeah. she was an apprentice, since the plan was to manipulate young apprentices, and he is technically older than her. they're also basically family.

Yep he’s their dad with Robinwing as the mother. Given that Robinwing had Longtail with Patchpelt before she had Dust and Raven, Fuzzy would have been an elder for a while before those two came along. Especially considering Darkstripe, who is currently a kit in this book, mentored Longtail.

Anyway! I really like the headcanon of Bluestar seeing Frostfur as a little version of Snowfur. She trains her as an apprentice and can see a lot of the traits of her sister. However, as cats around Frostfur begin to die off and more and more trama unfolds on her, Bluestars starts to see herself in Frostfur. Frostfur loses her mom, dad, brother (Ravenpaw, whom she never knows is alive), sister, her children get kidnapped, and both her daughters are severely injured. I imagine that she and Frostfur were very close, even during Bluestars breakdown, but when Brindleface died all she could see was herself in Frostfurs gaze, so she pushed her aside as well. If you reread the first few books you can see they have a close bond. In a bittersweet ending, I like to think Bluestar helped guild Frostfur and her fellow elders a lot when they were left in the old territories, and did her best to lead them to food or herbs they'd need.

Also, also, remember that scene where Frostfur and Speckletail walk in on Mistyfoot and Stonefur cleaning Blueatars body, but think they are mauling her to death and tell the clan? I think about that a lot.

thats ok! ngl i think i started this with the whole blocklist thing. i don’t mind having these discussions and recognizing bad people in the fandom, but of course this can lead to like distressing topics and i’m also like putting myself in crappy situations. but you did nothing wrong and it’s actually really important to speak on these issues and hold people accountable !
