Presented at the 36th Tokyo Motor Show in 2002, the Suzuki Hayabusa Sport Prototype (HSP) was a lightweight, two-seat concept car. It was powered by a front-mid-mounted 1,299cc inline-four motorcycle engine, with a lightweight carbon fibre body, and perfect 50:50 weight distribution. It was directly inspired by the popularity of the Formula Suzuki Hayabusa one-make racing series but was not developed beyond prototype stage
