as an Essek fan, I like him the most when he is very aware of the consequences of his actions and feeling the burden of what he's done crashing down on him, I really don't like this image of Essek in C2 as a good person or a ''cute boy'' above all else. He is polite and cordial, this does not make him kind. He is impressive and talented, this does not make him a good person. Let's not forget what he's done. I very much admire the start of his redemption/atonement arc at the end of C2 but it really does not start until I'd say when he joins the mighty nein to take down cognouza and it continues into the years of C3 and it is continous work of atonement and becoming a better person that is his real redemption arc
