21 - Lost in the Woods™ AU w/ @friendlyoceangiant

    By the dictionary’s definition of “lost”, (unable to find one's way; not knowing one's whereabouts), Kyouhei was confoundingly lost and near hopeless in his exploits to become unlost.

    Mostly because he was also lost to the way he’d become lost - last he remembered he’d decided to take a break from work and had curled up over his books, not intending to pass out, but....

    What else could explain him waking up in what seemed to be the definition of a haunted forest. The shadows, the lack of anything green, the crooked stone paths, the mist... the ambiance, in other words, was slowly causing him to panic.

    Nervous is his efforts to keep moving along the barely distinguishable path, Kyouhei tried not to let every sudden, unexplainable noise or oddly shaped shadow get to him, and mostly succeeded until he turned a sharp corner and bumped right into someone.

((I swear i’ll destroy something if I find out tumblr ate up the spacing for this as well. Anyways, you know the deal, just a fun drabble for you to enjoy and do whatever it is you want with~))

Floating in the pool, Mizumachi was staring up at the ceiling, deep in thought. What was he going to do about this? He was in quite the pickle, wouldn’t you know it? Thinking hard on his options, he was finding his mind slowly float away as the sound of the water moving all around him caught him in a lethargic mood.

He’d met Kanata a few months ago, so the only present he had the time to give to the guy was for White day in return for the Valentine’s day gift that Kanata gifted him. He made him a crown made out of shells! It was not a flower crown, but a shell crown! He made it with all these shells that he found along the beach, and though he could be a bit sloppy, he liked to believe it was made well!

Mizumachi thought it looked pretty anyways, so that meant it had to be pretty, right? Maybe? Totally, right? Yeah yeah, it had to be! ANYWAYS, It was a something that he was proud of, and it seemed that Kanata was pleased with it at any rate so that was a sigh of relief for the Swimming Footballer.

Haa… he didn’t know what to gift him this time around for his birthday. The guy loved the ocean and thought of fish as his friends. Understandable. When you watch the ‘Little Mermaid,’ anyone would want to go out and try to make friends with a Guppy.

Maybe he could get him a small friend? Like a plush friend? One that you didn’t have to worry about keeping a tank clean for? Ohhhh that is a good idea, huh? He could find a guppy plush and make Kanata out to be like a mermaid—no, merman? Haha! That’s a funny idea isn’t it? A merman.

Alright, sounds good! Moving himself to his front, he started to freestyle his way to the edge of the pool and he pulled himself out of it. Drying himself off with his towel, he quickly made his way over to the showers to wash off all the chlorine off himself before he changed into his clothes, ready to go! Off to do some shopping!

Luckily, he’d learned some things over the years, and he’s learned the lesson of planning ahead. So he managed to get everything prepared the day before Kanata’s birthday. When Kanata’s birthday actually rolled around, he sent a few texts to Kanata to tell him to meet up somewhere, like at a park. That was an easy place to use as meet up place, wasn’t it?

They set up a time to meet up at, and Kanata came around, greeting him fluidly as always. “Sup, Kanata? It’s your birthday dude! Happy birthday!” Mizumachi tossed an arm around Kanata’s shoulders while laughing loudly in his ear.

He could only hold this position for so long because his spine was screaming at him to return it to normalcy. The one downfall to being so tall—it hurt when you had to bend over sideways to give someone a one armed hug.

Anyways, that didn’t matter.

Holding out a bag out for Kanata to take, there were excited sparkles in his eyes telling him that he wanted for Kanata to look into the bag and take a gander at his present. There was a lot of colorful tissue paper and seashell shaped confetti pieces in the bag. If Kanata reached his hand further down into the bag, he’d feel the somewhat colder, sleek feeling of some kind of fabric.

Pulling it out, he pulled out— a tail?

“It’s a mermaid’s tail! You can slip it on and be a mermai—a merman! Isn’t it cool? You could swim with the fish! I mean, I know you don’t know how to swim but that’s why you have ME!” Proudly patting his chest, he was more than ready to teach his friend how to swim.

With hard work and diligence, anyone can learn how to swim! If Kanata could learn how to swim, then he’d be able to play alongside Mizumachi in the pool! You can’t deny that sounds pretty fun, right?

“I got the idea while I was floating around in the pool thinking that you like your fish friends like Ariel does in the ‘Little Mermaid’. I was thinking about getting you a fish plush or something, but then the idea of making you a merman sounded way more interesting! Let’s swim together! Come on, let’s go!” Mizumachi grabbed Kanata’s hand and started to run towards the pool.

It was just another day at the beach for Kaoru, and he had spent literally all day wandering the beachside, talking with people and surfing in between his spurts of conversation. He always found himself relaxing much more while he was surfing. He had sort of put himself into a trance whenever he was on the board, only feeling the waves beneath him and the sun’s rays shining on the water.

He loved the smell of the ocean, he loved almost everything about the beach. The atmosphere, the people, and all the activities, it just really spoke to him as the ultimate place to unwind and be himself. After snapping himself out of his trance, he made his way back to shore, sticking his surfboard in the ground and stretching a small bit. He was thinking about getting something to snack on afterwards, but wasn’t sure what he really wanted.

“Uuuuhhh~ I feel like I just wanna jump into the school’s pool right now...” Whimpered the teal-haired male as he weakly fans his sweaty face with a hand fan. Taking a dip at the school’s swimming pool does sound tempting, but he is fully aware that they’re only allowed to be used for PE class or competition purposes so it’s a no go.

Photography was probably never really one of Madara’s hobbies in the past. It wasn’t until he decided to start up a travel blog to record his many travels did he decide to pick up a camera. So he had to remember to grab it sometimes when he was headed out.

Today’s destination was the beach. He’d already done a blog entry on the aquarium in Bellevue, getting a funny shot of himself in front of a tank with a fish that looked like it was trying to eat his head, so he figured he’d continue with the water-related theme and head out to the beach for his next entry. It was a nice day after all~

As an idol with a travel blog people probably expected the blog to be a side thing for him, but truth was he dedicated equal parts of his time to his careers, though perhaps his agency might disagree due to his tendency to just up and run off without a warning.

Madara hummed to himself as he focused his camera for a quick shot of the beach, blinking through the lens as he snapped a few pictures. Pictures of the scenery done with... now for the fun shots!

Running through the water and taking pictures of himself at the same time created interesting compositions, most of them so blurry Madara couldn’t help but laugh at his own attempts.

As he was scanning the shoreline in front of him, he spotted another person who appeared taller than him even from this distance...and he was hit with inspiration.

“Hey! Hey you! Mister tall person!”

Madara waved both arms in the air enthusiastically, somehow managing not to drop the camera held in one hand.

They say old habits die hard, and with the younger of the Sakuma brothers it was terribly true. He had managed to graduate highschool, enter college and have two jobs because he had -to some degree- mended his lethargic nature and constant sleeping. He was now active enough to follow classes or simple tasks, even if still terribly uninterested and generally drowsy.

However, in days like this one, were classes seemed like a drag and the sun shone so brightly -even if the general temperature was still cold- the temptation to just sleep and let everything pass by was too big to let it pass.

More sleep than awake, he rolled through doors and halls in search for the most silent and comfortable place to take a nap. The steps took him deeper into the unknown, until he finally found a nice place. In the middle of the darkness, he carefully walked his way through. And then, he found the perfect spot. It might be a locker or it might be a closet, he wasn’t sure. he just knew it was dark and ideal in terms of temperature.
