what’s ur opinion on tumblr fanfic kind of trending on TikTok? i lowk can’t tell if its a good thing or nottttt
i think that tiktok is a platform that nurtures the need for instant gratification and you can see that bleeding into tumblr with all of these people making public complaints about the lack of long fics, or the saturation of smut. with all the 'part 2 when' comments *literally* five minutes after a first part is posted. with the whole censorship craze going on.
tiktok is so censored that people now say unalived instead of killed, graped instead of raped, so on and so forth. notice how almost every smut blog is being USER REPORTED and then marked as mature lately? tiktok users
maybe im just grumpy about it because i think tiktok is kind of cancerous and i lack joy and whimsy apparently but i don't like the brainrot and i dont exactly love seeing it here. wtf is a baby boo i need a cigarette

uuuuh those really vague smut drabbles where the character is just referred to as 'he' and you read it wondering who the fuck you're actually reading about and then the tags say:

feels like a cop-out for notes to me and there's no hate from my end to anyone who writes them but there's always such a lack of personality to the character that you can tell half a thought was put into how he would act because it's meant to fit a mould of seventeen of the most popular characters you can think of. wanting engagement and wanting to write something with depth can be two very different things at times

Some of the writers, not all that you tagged absolutely have a god complex, the people who kiss their ass can’t see it though because their god complex is constantly being fed. Why exactly would they want to change? I could name many more writers on top of the ones you named. My question had been genuine with asking your opinion as you are a writer. I’ve met published #1 authors who have less of a god complex than some of the writers here on this app. I just find it strange is all. You can have good, bad, amazing, phenomenal, panty wetting fics and not grow your head to be as large as Donald Trumps.

can you tell us more about the interactive fic? will it be like those ones where we do polls?
oh no so i write code that lets you make choices WITHIN the fic. you'll follow a link to the hosting site and from there you'll put a name in and pick your pronouns and the jjk characters you interact with in the fic will call you by your name, use your pronouns, etc.
you make choices. if gojo comes up to you and asks if you wanna fuck, you can say yes or you can turn him down etc. it's one big fic that you make choices within.
once it gets closer to me being able to knit it together and post it, i'll do a post announcing who is collaborating on it and who is writing what. i have 8 other writers doing scenes in it, some are doing more than one, some are collaborating with each other on threesomes and group sex scenes and some are just doing fluff scenes.
it will take a while to get done. writing a fic alone takes a long time, but then you have to add in choices and write the consequences and responses for each choice and test code variables to make sure it works and write scene guides so people can get what they want etc etc etc. but its cool to see interest!
