Avery was pretty good at not being noticed when he wanted to be, so that was how he’d heard about Freya being in isolation. He’d only been in it once and it had been an awful experience that had left him yelling and screaming and scratching his arms until they bled. He swore he would never go near that place again, but he knew Freya. She was the one who had helped him get down from that tree at the beach. If she was anything like him (which is didn’t seem like, honestly), she would be freaking out. Even if she was the exact opposite, he assumed she wasn’t having a pleasant time.
There were a few of them, but Avery could hear noises inside one of them, so he assumed that was the one he was looking for. He sure hoped he was right. Otherwise, he was going to be talking to a stranger who might be mad at him for intruding. Or, actually, Freya herself might be mad at him.
“U-uh…F-freya? Are you t-there?”
He asked, his head close to the door.
