Known for composing and performing pieces that demand the listener’s engagement, for they move and evolve at a subtle, glacial pace in pulses and washes of sound.
A key figure in the development of drone, electronic, and spiritual musics, as well as in a minimalism that shares elements with the work of La Monte Young and Terry Reilly, but with a much stronger focus on texture than melody.
