This work is part of an islands' curator project of it`s former functionary and dictator, tramp, musician and owner of the very hot contempo radio station (radio tuleň) Tadeáš Polák. The original topic for the piece was extravagant charm: queers and the status quo, but as you can see the artist have chosen her own name: un ballad pour les haute-parleut. why? here comes the explonation:
“when i think about queer, i do not imagine rainbows and waterfalls, to be honest, here on the island, the waterfalls and rainbows are more likely to be the status quo rather than something queer. for me, queer can be dirty, with staines on the shirt, fat, spotty, uncool, junkie-like, something different mostly on the inside than on the outside. that is why i made the video meditation about freetekno. the most free land i have so far visited, where the rainbows are pissed on and glitters are not always shiny, but the elites are non-existing” says the artist sometimes presenting herself as delirium.
