From the heart of besieged Gaza — where the sound of bombs drowns everything else, where food is a distant dream — I write these words carrying the burden of an entire family searching for a piece of bread and a glimpse of hope to survive.

Hunger in Gaza is no longer a passing feeling. It has become a harsh way of life. We prepare one meal and convince our children it must last two days. We break dry bread and divide it among us. We boil water just to fool our empty stomachs into thinking something is on the way.

We live in a torn tent, shielding ourselves from the burning sun with prayer, and from the cold with a blanket that no longer holds warmth. No income, no proper food, no medicine for the sick. All we have left is hope — that our words reach someone who still has mercy in their heart.
