A Fishy Case || Elizabeth & Frank
When: Present Time Where: Upper Tamar Lake - Cornwall With: Frank Longbottom @frankcjlongbottom
Elizabeth had been quite happy to deal with this matter alone, she had some excellent experience with Merpeople colonies from The Great Lake at Hogwarts and The Serpentine in London (A section where the Merpeople surfaced had anti-muggle charms done to death). But her boss had thought differently. It seemed some foolhardy young wizards had been playing in the lake’s edge and thought it would be fun to throw a few jinxes at some merfolk who’d been attracted to the noise... Idiots.
As if Wizard and Merfolk society were not unstable enough.
So, here she was (irritatingly no one from the department for the regulation for the control of magical creatures who spoke Mermish was free so she’d been a last minute draft) and an auror had been brought in too for fear the Merfolk may lash out and (she suspected) a lack of faith in her. Luckily, it was Frank and she enjoy his company. The pair had apparated near the lakes edge and she sighed, “I’m sorry you got drafted into this, as if the Auror department isn’t stretched enough after Puddlemere.” God rest those poor souls. “But, this shouldn’t be hard. Just, try not to stare too much, be polite. Bow when I bow and umm,” she looked him up and down, “Don’t step too far into the water, they might see it as a challenge.” Elizabeth told him quietly.
With all that said she Elizabeth straightened her deep green hat (matched with a shin-length dress, scarf, gloves and heeled shoes) took a breath and grinned, “Ready to apologise on our behalf to some Merfolk?”
